I buy the best. I’ve got expensive Japanese knives and expensive knives from around the globe. That said, I reach for this knife every day. It’s not an expensive Victorinox knife (I’ve got expensive Victorinox boning and breaking knives) but it’s a perfect little knife for slicing onions, other vegetables, and for slicing strips of chicken off the bone for chicken sandwiches. It holds an edge well and the edge is easily maintained using a honing rod and leather strop. Light and easily handled, it’s a keeper.

Fantastic budget friendly utility knife, comfortable for everyone in my family to use without concern. Decent steel that is very easy to maintain, which you should do with all of your blades, and comfortable not-small handle. It may be something to consider that while the blade is slightly on the smaller side, the handle isn't. It is a great do almost everything knife though if you aren't the pull out multiple knives type.

Sounds hyperbolic to call an affordable kitchen knife an heirloom, but the fact is the piece is durable enough, with care, to last a lifetime and longer.If the design and resulting performance weren’t truly fabulous, this would be just another decent kitchen knife destined for the thrift store.An absolute joy to use. Sharpens easily on a medium coarseness sharpening steel.Wonderful gift under $30.

My very favorite brand and type of knife. I have it in multiple lengths. I cook from scratch everyday and use this knife. It lasts and lasts. It is easy to sharpen. It is light weight, which I prefer and fits my hand perfectly. Thanks for the great quality and functionality!

The knive is sharp and comfortable to use. This is my 4th type of Victorinox knife and I will definitely buy more.

I bought this so I could start training my kids to be kitchen helpers, but it has become my go-to knife for most kitchen tasks. It takes a wicked sharp edge and is exceptionally handy. Like other Victorinox blades, this dulls a little faster than some other steels, but it is easy to touch up and razor sharp once you do. Makes other $100+ knives in my kitchen irrelevant.

Great value for the price you

Throw out all your other knives. This is the only one you need. Sharp out of the box and very easy to keep edge razor sharp with a steel. I use this knife for everything in the kitchen and i also use it in the woods for cleaning and processing deer. Its shape and handle are just right, blade does delicate tasks and can stand up to not so delicate tasks. My go to knife.
