This book takes you step-by-step, showing you how to do things. It also shows free tools to help you, available on the Internet. It is fantastic! I checked out a copy from my local library, first. I liked it so much, I had to have my own copy. It is a book you will find yourself working through, a chapter at a time. I realized I would need my own copy to follow, as it will take some time, at various steps, and I did not want to risk having it be unavailable when I was ready to move on to the next step in the process of moving my online business forward.This book contains many useful tools, ideas, and concepts. I highly recommend you borrow a copy from your local library, first. Read it, then decide for yourself, whether you will need a personal copy to reference as you progress in making your online business... Cheers!

I saw a review of this book in The Crafts Report magazine and decided to check it out from the library. After reading thru the first chapter, I knew I wanted it for my library and purchased it. Money well spent! It has clear instructions and lots of visuals. Filled in the gaps that weren't covered in an Etsy class that I took. This is a wonderful guide for setting up a professional looking shop on Etsy and is my go-to book for a quick reference. There is also a wealth of information on the other social mediae - Facebook, Twitter, blogging, etc. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting setting up an Etsy shop or for those of you who have an existing shop and want to make it more professional with better photographs and descriptions. It has all the information you need.

I already had my Etsy store up for a couple of months before I read this book, and had already gone down some of the tips described in this book. However, the book is useful regardless, as it talks about a bunch more things I hadn't tried yet (such as some social networking sites I didn't know). I've made notes to try out some things described in the book.

If you are new to Etsy or would like to take your Etsy shop to new levels, this is book is packed with practical information that is actually helpful, easy to understand, easy to do -- all from your computer -- and produces results that can be evidenced on your shop stats after just a few weeks of applying the information. (Reading the book does not count -- you have to actually DO the assignments if you want to see improvement.) I did see changes in my shop stats and an increase in the consistency of sales after just a few weeks spent applying this information -- spending 15 minutes to an hour a week doing so. I have read the entire book and now going back chapter by chapter to take notes and apply what I am learning.This is also a great book to use as a study guide for team workshops.

The nitty gritty here- Book arrived well packaged, price was reasonable, came earlier than expected.A little about me- I opened my Etsy shop last May and since then have only had two sales. As it stands now, I haven't had a sale in almost four months and at that paltry rate I knew I had to take action. I went on amazon seeking how-to Etsy literature, and the reviews for this one stood out, so I ordered it thinking I had nothing to lose. I have finished the book today and have taken some of the action steps the author describes throughout each chapter. It really opened my eyes to marketing and promotion and the best thing of all is-most of the actions to take are free or cheap! And to think I had run out of ideas for what to do to get the ball rolling. The author leaves out unnecessary information like what kind of home computer or digital camera you should select- heck anyone selling online should know all that stuff by now. The illustrations are helpful and there are some action steps I hadn't even thought of.As it stands now, I still haven't had any sales lately, but at least I have hope that I can turn my shop around if I do what the author says and work at it every day with blogs, articles, tweets, videos, etc.most of which I am familiar with.One last note: anyone wanting to pursue this kind of a thing as a hobbyist or a career-If you don't like to write you will be out of luck! You definitely need to have a passion and talent for writing content whatsoever.I've bookmarked the author's website as well. Maybe later I will look into that other book, "Finding your inner Etsy-preneur" based on the reviews sounds like another good one.

I opened an Etsy shop last year. As I was getting my second shop set up I ordered this book. I wish I had this information when I first opened on Etsy. Contains invaluable information. I was so impressed with this book that I am writing my first book review on Amazon. Everyone opening an online store needs this book!

I bought the kindle edition of this book and am currently working my way through it as I build my etsy shop. I have probably bought 10 or more e-books/ books/online courses designed for the craft business bu this is the best by far. Such a practical step-by-step guide to setting up shop. I know my craft of sewing inside-out but as a retired physical education teacher I have no inside experience with business and retail. This book is a life-saver for me! LOVE it!! I am probably gonna order the physical book as well. This is just one of those books I want to be able to hold and mark in.

I've returned the book, the first book ever. Everything in here I already knew from reading online. If you don't know anything, this is a great book. If you know a lot this isn't the book for secrets tips. Ask your library to get a copy and borrow that.
