So useful
Such a great kitchen tool! So easy to use and really does the job. I use it for when I’m making ground beef to separate it in the pot.

Sturdy and well built
How did I not know these existing until recently? This makes breaking up ground beef in the frying pan so much easier than using a spatula, etc. The build quality is good and sturdy. Should last a long time…

This is the one.
If you're looking for a masher, look no further. This is the one. I shopped a lot of these and I'm glad I picked this one. Well made, sturdy, works perfectly, great price. It's very easy to grip, perfect if you have a lot of mashing to do. I feel like I can work this tool to the ground and it will still come back for more.I typically use it for ground beef/turkey but it also worked great to cut shortening into flour to make scones.

A total success.
I've been seeing these on a number of cooking channels and I decided to finally give them a try. Turns out they work amazingly well, far better than all my previous utensils I've using to crumble up ground meats. Easy to use and easy to clean. My inner chef is happy as a lark! I definitely recommend one of these for every kitchen.

Does the job...
These are ingenius tools for mincing burger meat.I used this once - it's ok. Does the job. Well built, heat resistant, doesn't mar the finish on nonstick pans - it's well made - no reason to complain about the toolBurger meat does get wedged up inside it so you need a butter knife or something to get the bits out. :) That's common sense when looking at the design.HOWEVER - what I didn't like - the blades are thickish and dull. Why do I care? While visiting a cousin, I used her "chopper" (diff brand and of course the tool was unmarked) - that chopper had beveled, almost sharp edges. Why would I want beveled edges? During my visit, she didn't have a pastry cutter so I used her hamburger tool to cut butter into flour when making biscuits. It was almost TOO easy! (not that using a pastry cutter is rocket science). I have larger hands, and this just made the cutting in of the butter SO MUCH easier and to find a tool that has an additional use - great! I'm off to purchase a similar product with the beveled edges. If you just want a meat mincer - this one will do. :)

Best tool I've found for the job.
For my entire life I've been breaking up my ground beef the old fashioned way, with a spatula. Just go to town on that ground beef and take your aggressions out but it's time consuming and hard on your arm if you're doing a lot. I will sometimes use a potato mashed if I'm using a stainless or cast iron pan but can't do that with my nonstick.I saw this gizmo on a cooking show and wondered if it worked as well as it seemed to. I did a little research and it was all positive so I ordered one. How in the heck did I go all these years without one of these??? Holy Guacamole Batman...this thing breaks up ground beef or sausage like a magic wand in comparison to the old fashioned way. It's not often I come across something I've never heard of and it actually works but here we are. You can use a normal straight up and down movement to break up the ground meat which works very well but where this thing really shines is going straight down and giving it a little twist at the end. Repeat as needed. It's very fast in comparison to the spatula method and it's pretty fun as well. I can't recommend this enough, it's inexpensive, fast and fun to use. Let's face it, breaking down ground meat isn't fun so anything you can do to make it faster, easier and more enjoyable is a win.I haven't used this for other things like mashed potatoes but I am looking forward to seeing how much of a multi-tasker it is. Even if it doesn't do anything else well it'll still be worth buying.

Great smasher, sturdy.
Makes crumbling chop meat and sausage very easy! Should have bought this years ago. Handle should be a bit longer, but this does the trick as well.

Great for Making Homemade Dog Food
I prepare my own dog food at home for my pups. It takes a lot of ground turkey, veggies, etc. and two very large pots/pans to make a batch that I can freeze, too. I was using spatulas and potato mashers to do a lot of the mashing for me. I was telling one of my friends about it and she told me she uses this Farberware meat and potato masher for ground meat. It's a different shape than my other tools and is made from nylon, so it's lightweight and won't scratch like metal. I ordered it when it dropped in price on Amazon and used it for the first time making my dog food. I was amazed at how well it worked for everything! It was easy to break up the ground turkey (and did a better job than a spatula), and mashed everything else together well, too. Besides using the tool to make the dog food, I can see myself using this new utensil for using ground meat to make tacos. I definitely recommend this handy tool if you make your own dog food...or human food!
