I used these in my big kid art class. My big kid class starts at age 7 and some of the stories were a bit scary for some. I read them outloud, and let the kids vote on their fate. It was really cute, they get sooo involved! For those who felt it was scary, we thought mauybe they may have been dramatic for attention, but some stuff is morbid (like, scary moments and then you die). I would say 8+. The adventures were fun and it kept their attention for sure. Majority like 95% of the kids LOVED it.

Being a child of the 80/90s I remember these type of books being everywhere; even at grocery checkout stands. My kids on the other hand. Had never seen such a book.My 2 kids really enjoyed these books. And we be looking for more. The idea that the reader controlled the plot we so exciting for them. Granted these short stories are not filled with great detail like full novels. But they are engaging, and had my kids full interest for a while.In a society filled with tablets, tvs, games, computers etc... A book(s) that kids/ adults will gladly sit and read. Gets great reviews from me.

Just as easy and entertaining as when I was a small child.

I actually bought these books for my niece since she's started to love reading. I wasn't sure how she'd feel about the CYOA books, but she actually loves them. She's been asking me for more so I've already got her birthday present lined up.They're a great change from the normal style books since you can choose the direction the story goes. Reading the books more than once is never the same as the time before.

I used to love reading Choose your own Adventure books when I was a kid and my 8 year old daughter has now found them. She loves this collection of books!

I purchased these books for my students! As I had hoped, they really liked these books. They love the ability to create alternative endings! It allows them to be creative!I found that students that were not motivated to read, picked these books up and couldn’t put them down. They actually wanted to share them with other students! This is a teacher’s dream.

When these arrived for my granddaughters birthday, the house was quiet for a long while. When I asked if the stories were good, she started at the beginning and read to me while I washed dishes. She is turning 11. The best gift ever!
