I chose to buy the replacement clock mechanism from Portmerion because I knew it would fit and thought it would be good quality.I am dissapointed. it is flimsy and could be bought for a fraction of the price. It had no suitable hanging mechanism and the small depression in the back is not secure enough to support the weight of what is an expensive ceramic plate.I had to search elsewhere for a metal hanger which fits behind the mechanism to securely hang it.Very dissapointing for such an established company.
