Value Healing!! --- NO DRUGS!
Hyssop tea is traditionally known for its healing properties but sometimes you wouldn't know it when it’s stuck in a tea bag and/or you don't know how to prepare it to get its benefits. This tea is meant to steep for at least 30 minutes before consuming; after which the healing properties have been released for upper respiratory problems, cough, detoxing and a whole host of issues when consumed up to 3x a day. I found my use of this product to be a true and affordable source to its intended hyssop effectiveness. If prepared properly the tea has a bit of a strong and a little bitter taste, but can be easily and best sweetened with stevia or honey. For me I do not need a pricier essential oil version to get the benfeits I need. The packaging does not explicitly state so let me tell you my best way of preparing: I prepare this tea by bringing water to a boil first and then turning the temperature down to simmer. If you are real particular, you can use spring or filtered water. If you are using an electric range top, I wait until the water stops rolling. I then put tea leaves in the water and cover the pot with a well fitted lid (or use aluminum foil wrapped round the lid if needed) because you want to keep the heat in and the liquid from vaporizing away --(that vapor is somewhat the equivalent of the essential oil, so you definitely don’t want that to go to waste. Resist the urge to remove the top from the lid to take a peak; I promise you it will not disappear. You will also want to make sure you keep the heat on the pot at its lowest setting to keep the tea “steeping”-- not boiling. Yes this makes for a strong tea, but that is what you want; to extract the value of the hyssop allowing you to maximize extract to consume its benefits. Once the tea has steeped its allotted time, you will want to use something like cheesecloth to strain the tea. Based on your own personal preference add sweetener. I make this tea in batches and store them in mason jars enough for at least 3 days taking a cup at least 3x a day.

Great product
You get a lot for your money and a much better deal than your local stores. Taken as tea to help clear mucus from the body and actually tastes pretty good with honey.

Best price, fabulous product--your choice
If you want to make your own blend of herbal tea or if you need hyssop for its reputed healing benefits, then you can choose to pay $15 for a tiny amount of dried hyssop wrapped in a flow-through bag, stuffed into a box. You'll get about 24 of these for your money. OR, you can order the SB Natural Products bulk hyssop and enjoy a healthy, organic product with, oh, I don't know, maybe 300 times that amount for the same money. Did you know that hyssop is one of the main ingredients in the magical formula that makes up Ricola herb throat drops? They work great at soothing a sore or scratchy throat. Hyssop is what does it, from what I can tell. In our house, we also drink a pre-bedtime tea of half chamomile flowers and half hyssop. I'm thinking hyssop is going to be the next big thang in the herbal world. It's also the old thang, as hyssop has been used for thousands of years. to great benefit.

Good value
It is in foil packaging and the packaging looks like it was thrown around a bit but I didn’t let it bother me. The taste is mild but has a nice aroma.
