I must admit, I was very sceptical about these. I have recently moved and my new garden has 4 or 5 different cats that seem to wander in and out oblivious to the laws of trespassing.These don't come with any instructional advice on how to use the sensitivity and frequency knobs to best effect. I set both to Max and these have been in place for just over a month and all the younger cats have stopped visiting completely. My Ring Spotlight Cam has captured them at various points approaching the sensors then suddenly scarpering. After this happened a number of times they haven't returned.It was only the oldest cat that seemed to be unimpressed, even going and having a sniff around them. Despite this, after turning the frequency setting down (based only on the logic that as we get older, we get deafer, so cats might be the same) he is now visiting far less frequently and when he does he's giving areas a wide berth e.g. wandering up the drive itself rather than across the grass. I don't really know if the frequency change had any effect, if it was just the passage of time or the younger ones put the word out on the street that my house was haunted.An additional bonus was to see a fox one night captured on the Ring camera approaching one of them, flinching and running for his life back out to the road.Can't really comment on battery life. I've had them on the highest sensitivity so they will get triggered a lot more and there's no way of knowing the charge left until they die but it's been a month so far and all are still with us. I'm using Duracell 2500 mAh rechargeables.So, things are looking positive so far.

Most of my neighbours have either cats or dogs - I have neither - so an awful lot of the local moggies chose to use my garden as their toilet. {Grrrrr!} I'd tried everything else without success so in desperation decided to give these a go when I discovered this type of ultrasonic deterrent is recommended by the RSPB.They ARE effective but it takes a few weeks to reach maximum efficiency - and even then there may be the occasional "blip" if you know what I mean! However, the initial outlay is not to be sneezed at and, depending on the size of your garden, you may need more than one set. I have a modest sized area of garden front and back but found I needed two sets for maximum efficiency.As to battery life, I find this very good even though I have the motion sensors on mine set to maximum. However, as stated, I do not have any pets (or indeed children!) myself so they are not often triggered. I bought my first set well over a year ago and they are all still going strong.Overall, if you have a severe problem - which I did - I would definitely recommend these if you can afford them.

Product doesn’t make any sound whatsoever, cats walk right past it. Poor product. Will be seeking a refund as this doesn’t do what it markets itself to do. Look elsewhere for a better product.

We bought a pack of 4 to fend off cars, foxes, badgers, pigeons and a big crow coming into our front and back garden to foul the lawn, so far so good. I have not seen any animal excrements on my lawn.Those annoying pigeons have stopped coming in too. They used to sit on my gates and fouled the gates and surrounding area, I can hear them but they are not near my house anymore.

Got 2 packs of 4 for my garden that regulay had 6 to10 different cats using it as a place to poop and wee...Since these have gone in the garden the pooping and weeing have stopped instantly, we still saw cats strolling through but they didn't stop, and now after about a month the vast majority of cats no longer even come to our gardenGreat product

Good easy to use products.

I was sceptical about the cat scarers after reading some reviews, but they worked from day one and we have had no more cat mess on our lawn. As long as you follow the instructions and place the, strategically they work a treat.
