Unbeatable quality for the price
I have used Victorinox knives of all shapes and sizes for years and they are excellent knives and excellent value. They retain their sharpness for a long time but are good enough quality to be re-sharpened when they need it. I have tried much more expensive knives at times, but always reverted to Victorinox because they are more comfortable to hold, extremely effective (I have arthriticky hands, do a lot of cooking and need to use very sharp knives to avoid having to use too much pressure) and excellent value for money. They are my go-to knives in a busy kitchen. The 19 cm Chef`s knife is such a versatile size and can be used for such a variety of preparation.

Can’t go wrong
The knife is excellent for all slicing & dicing. It might struggle with a heavy chop but handles carrots & onions easily. Grip is super comfortable. Blade is very easy to sharpen. Quality name. Quality through and through!

Lightweight and blade dulls quickly.
Was a bit scared of this knife at first. Lightweight to hold, the blade slices through most vegetables without effort. However, after a just couple of weeks, the blade began to noticeably blunt. It was slightly squashing tomatoes before breaking the skin. I do use a glass chopping board which probably isn’t ideal for the knife but was surprised how quickly it needed sharpening.

Very good for cutting things
I'm hiding this purchase from my wife. She thinks I buy too many knives. Maybe I do. But that's because I hate blunt knives! Is that wrong of me? I also hate sharpening knives even more. So imagine my guilty pleasure at buying a new Victorinox 19 cm Chef's knife!! It's so sharp. I think I'm going to go and cut some things with it now, even though there isn't anything that really needs cutting. I have to be quick, I think she's coming into the kitchen.

Value
Incredible value for money. As good as it gets for this kind of price in my experience and certainly good enough for a home cook.

The Knife You Cannot Be Without
This knife truly is wonderful. I ordered it I think about Oct/Nov last year and just hadn't got round to writing a review. It is such a pleasure to use. It's lightweight, slightly flexible, fairly small for a Chefs Knife but manoeuvrable and oh so sharp. It truly is the knife you always want to reach for. I already have a very big Chefs Knife also a Victorinox 10inch blade, overall length 15inches which dwarfs the smaller knife and which I bought twenty years ago but is by no means the better knife. It's too large and not as managable as this 7 1/2inch (19cm) knife. The handle on the 19cm knife is comfortable to hold and the precision is second to none. You can cut as thin or as thick as you like with this knife just watch you fingers! I am so pleased with this knife I'm going to order another one. Highly recommended. The packaging however was something else. The way in which I recieved it was rather unsafe to say the least. It was posted in just an ordinary Jiffy bag with no extra padding for safety and in just a flimsy plastic... can I call it a wallet? When I opended the bag the knife just fell out of the bag and out of the wallet as well! How the Postman hadn't injured himself or anyone handling it at the Royal Mail along the way I do not know. I've ordered knives from other Companies over the years but I have never had one packed quite so skimpy. I hope when I order another it will be better packed.

The knife for many foods in the Kitchen
This is a wonderful knife as soon as you take it out of the cover which is in a parcel well covered and strong you can tell it is some thing you will only need to buy once in your lifetime. I have only bought one other knife any way like it and that was a''PYREX '' and I bought it on a market stall, the man told me that it had a 25 year guarantee but because it came from a market stall I did not believe him I wish I had bought a dozen as I still have it after more than 30 years and it is still good. The same go's for this knife as it also has a 25 year guarantee and I really believe that it will still be going long after I have gone with my Daughter. This really is some knife all knives should be like this any thing you want to cut with it you just touch very lightly and it is cut, do not leave this around for children it could be dangerous and would cut you bad in the wrong hands, but again I say what a terrific knife.I would like to give it a 10 stars if I could but 5 stars will be alright for now.I wish I had bought two at the time as they have gone up, must have been my review so I bought two other victorianox knives instead. I just love them for lightness and sharpness also balance they are perfect so if you think different you do not know what a good knife is.

Sharp knife
It's a little bit light but sharp enough to shave the hairs on my arm out of the box, probably the best value chefs knife out there, invest in a decent whetstone and with a bit of practice it will be the sharpest knife in your kitchen.
