I was so excited to get this and try it out, but it arrived completely broken. I have reached out to Alexandria Fragrances and they have wrote back asking for an order number. Hoping this gets resolved because I do love this fragrance house and have purchased from them before. I will update my review if this gets resolved.Update***** Alexandria quickly sent me out another bottle of Hawaii Volcano and I am blown away by how well this smells! Beautiful scent and definitely blind buy worthy. Great customer service and company. I will definitely remain a customer with this fragrance house. Thanks Alexandria!!

Too pricey

Pros: Love this fragrance for the summer. Very Caribbean. Coconut and lime are dominant then fade into soft fresh lime.Cons: Ordered and paid for 1.8 oz bottle and received 1.0 ounce bottle instead.

Nice tropical smelling cologne, but only received a 1oz bottle and not 1.8oz as advertised on Amazon. Many YouTubers say this is inspired by Creed's Virigin Island Water but I find Alexandria's Hawaii Volcano sweeter, fruitier, fuller-bodied, and less artificial smelling than Creed's. It has none of the light water smell to it that Creed possesses. Creed's has more of that light natural tropical vacation smell. Alexandria's is more in your face. Decent smell and will wear it in summer/vacation but upset that only received half of what was advertised

I came across Creed’s VIW while shopping last week. I sprayed some on my skin and kept it moving. The smell of limes, coconut and dry down to rum and sugarcane made this a perfect summer scent for me. IT conjured visions of a resort in the Caribbean. However, it wasn’t worth the $400 (including tax) price tag. That’s ridiculous, but I found that I couldn’t forget the scent. I did some research to see if I could find something of a dupe. I came across Hawaii Volcano and noticed the reviews and it had the same notes for a fraction of the cost. I was thrilled! I made an impulsive purchase immediately and waited for my item.The perfume came well wrapped and it was not damaged. I eagerly sprayed some on and waited. Initially there’s a strong lime smell which is fine. It dries down to a powdery, woody scent. It then becomes a skin scent within a couple hours and will have you smelling like you’ve been “outside.” That’s the only way to describe it. Mostly, it brought back fond memories of my childhood summers when my dad would use this lime shaving cream and aftershave. That’s exactly the smell, lime aftershave from the 80s. Is the smell unpleasant? No, not at all. It’s a two dimensional, masculine leaning lime scent. VIW, has coconut, rum and sugarcane notes that renders it more unisex, smooth and sophisticated. This scent isn’t smooth or sophisticated. It’s lime aftershave that dries down to “outside.”Will I continue to use it? Yes, I paid for it and will use it until it’s done. Will I repurchase? No, I can only tolerate smelling like 80s lime aftershave for a short time. Perhaps someday I will purchase VIW, but in the meantime, this will not suffice. If you’re going for a dupe of VIW, keep looking and let me know.

Great smell. I tend to wear citrus year round and even in the winter I like a reminder that better weather is on the way. The citrus comes in early and then mellows into the teak notes for the rest of the day.
