Bite the bullet and buy it. You will be glad you did.
I read many product reviews before I bit the bullet and invested in this pillow support - and it was an investment as the price point is higher than many of its competitors. I cannot say I wasn't tempted to go with the cheaper 80's throwback style but after just a week with this pillow, I am really glad I didn't. My positive experience began with the customer service "tips" email I received shortly after ordering; that level of service continued to surpass expectations after I received the pillow, as text message support for some questions I had was prompt and helpful. My impression is that this is a company that cares and wants their customers to be satisfied. The pillow was shipped quickly and arrived in a smaller package than I expected. There was no outgassing, no odor at all even though the pillow had been compressed and tightly wrapped in plastic. This was cited as an issue with other brands. I followed a reviewer's tip, took off the pillow cover and put the pillow in the dryer for 30 minutes on medium. Voila - a fully puffed-out support. Make sure your dryer is large enough if you try this.I got the regular cover in chocolate. The color is as shown. The cover is like velveteen, soft to the touch and, thankfully, amazingly, does not attract lint. I believe the pillow weighs about 9 pounds, so it is not too much of a monster to move around; the handle makes lifting it easy and is secured tightly to the pillow. That said, the pillow is not insubstantial either and is best for use on the bed, reading, watching videos or attending the all too frequent virus-generated Zoom meetings. It would not work for me as well in a chair or on the couch due to the thickness of the pillow. I haven't used the back pocket but the side pocket is very useful and great for holding a phone or a remote. The back without the neck pillow is definitely 24 inches, providing much higher support than the standard 18 inches of many other pillows. That alone is enough to make me grateful I chose this pillow after having sat against it for extended meetings. The ability to unzip the pillow to remove (or add) foam is a huge benefit for me. I decided I needed the back to be a bit more flexible to curve more under the base of my spine and I wanted the arms to come closer to my body. Removing foam achieved both those goals. I will warn you, however, do not wear black leggings and do it in an area that is easy to sweep. Despite sticking the opening of a plastic kitchen trash bag inside the zipper for transferring the foam, the filling escaped my hands and surrounded me. I strongly advise having a dryer sheet handy. It worked wonders to minimize static cling as I gathered the wayward pieces. The only drawback for me was the neck/head roll that attaches to the top of the main pillow. I found myself wishing it too had a zipper so I could adjust the amount of filling as it is just a bit too firm. I may end up making a small slit to remove some foam then duct tape the opening before putting the separate cover back on it. The roll has elasticized bands to attach it to two buttons on top of the main pillow. The bands have 3 openings so the roll can be secured tighter to the top or left to drop down a bit with either of the other two band openings. However, due to the fullness of the neck/head roll, if it is left to hang down, it rolls back up as I lean against it. If it is buttoned in the tightest position, the neck/head roll offers more support but is set back a bit too far for me to keep my head upright even with the pillow against the wall, thus it is not especially useful when reading or watching a video. It is better for leaning back and resting. The neck/head roll also is useful off the main pillow to support a book or my arms in front of my body if I am leaning forward to watch a screen and is also good as a support beneath my knees. The pillow and the cover can be washed and the company offers a 3 year warranty and options to buy more foam, as well as replacement or 2-color reversible covers. I expect this pillow to last for some time and recommend it for its features, quality and for the customer service experience.

Nice big size!
Nice. I bought this for the size and it's just right. But I almost didn't click on it because it showed the bolster pillow looking like it was attached at the top. Not so. They are two separate pieces.

It takes work to relax
Normally I'd write a review immediately when the strap for the headrest broke upon trying to button it, but I have a sewing machine and already went through enough waiting, fluffing, moving around stuffing... But I decided to wait. I really don't know what else to say about the design of the headrest other than be careful if you have cervical instability... It is slightly more supportive than the stack of blankets I was leaning my neck against before this(which kept falling off).I laid it on its back for the fluffing out period and tried to get plenty on top to stabilize the headrest(which worked for a little while). The zippered hole to move around stuffing is barely the size of my elbow(not large), and it's nearly impossible to reach the top. I have an old shredded memory foam body pillow that I've been cannibalizing for foam that I planned to use for extra stuffing.. Other reviews noted some of the foam has pokey edges, many pieces definitely are more firm on one side, if my back were currently tender I might describe as pokey.. I had thought when ordering if I find it to be pokey I'll put the soft foam in front of it... With this tiny hole to arrange stuffing, you won't get soft stuff to the front, only compact what's there. At first overall it felt comfy, the shoulders had room to breathe, my low back and neck felt supported. Now a month or so later the headrest is rolling back, I keep having to scoot back for my lumbar area to make contact, and the stuffing just generally seems to have shifted. I have it leaned up against a couch too, so I can't be sure it would sit up on its own with me leaning on it. It weighs too much for me to have returned it, for better or worse it's mine to stuff and to hold lolDo not buy if you can't lift much, don't have an extra large dryer in your home, don't have a sewing machine(or are good with thread and needle), or don't have a bunch of shredded memory foam lying around to stuff more as needed when it flattens. I love how AI still wants to know ease of use, the answer is no, any step for a pillow beyond "put on pillowcase" is not ease of use, my back hurt so bad by the time I had finished lugging this husband around! I was lucky I had a few good days to set up/fix this for all the other bad days... If you're in bad shape, you can't shape this pillow without help. Time will tell if I regret the cost of the purchase, but know full well, ALL memory foam flattens eventually... For that short time, it was just right. Now back to work lol

My favorite pillow
I don't know why there are bad reviews on this pillow. I've had mine for years! I still use it almost daily. Of course when you first take it out it's going to look weird. The foam need time to perk up. But after that it's awesome 👌🏾

XXL just right
I'm 5'6" woman, 145 lbs. I was concerned that XXL would be too tall, but it is perfect. I was also concerned that the standard fabric would feel cheap, but it is pleasantly soft and silky--it's not a one-way velvet; it's smooth any way you rub it. Some people have raised concerns about the pillow being floppy. I find it to be just fine. There is an elastic strap on each end of the headrest that have 3 buttonholes to attach it either loosely, medium, of snugly. I am using medium and it's not floppy. I use it in bed and the back rests against my headboard which is slightly angled back (not straight up and down) and the headrest sits exactly in the curve of my neck which is what I wanted because my previous arrangement of stacked pillows pushed my head forward and would hurt my neck while reading or watching TV. Now I'm comfortable. The armrests are also a nice feature and just the right height for me. Overall, this is better than I expected it to be. Quite pleased with my purchase and recommend for others. Not the cheapest, but worth it. P.S. I let it expand for 2 days before using and fluffed it (more like a massage) several times to help break up the foam a bit so it could fluff up more quickly. Mine did not have any odor at all.
