amikathe shield anti-humidity spray

Another one of my favorite Amika products. You can use it on wet hair or at the end of styling your hair. It gives a touch of volume and holds and seals the hair very natural, it is not too strong. It helps with humidity and frizz and has a nice smell, like all amika products.

Smells great and works great

This product truly helps your hair fight the the shrinking back it would do or blowing up to a puff ball. It also kept my hair straight while I was exercising which is a 1st for me. For me to get best results on afro American hair texture I spray some in my hair before I blow dry it. Also spray some before i flat iron it or curl it. Gives a beautiful sheen that last u til I wash it again. No hard feeling hair just silky. That is my experience.

Smell so good

we have bought this product in the past and all was good. this latest subscribed order does not come out as a spray mist like the previous purchases, it comes out as a foam. It is not useable in this manner. Unfortunately by the time my wife's previous shipment ran out and she went to use this one the return window had expired by 2 weeks. I cant seem to contact the seller to see if something can be done, like a replacement. She enjoys this product and the previous purchases where fine my advise is to test it as soon as it arrives while the return window is still open.

The scent of this spray is definitely a highlight. It has that signature amika fragrance that smells fresh and salon-quality without being too overpowering. The size of the bottle is decent, and a little goes a long way, so it should last a while.As far as performance, it gave some light frizz control, but nothing dramatic. My hair still reacted to humidity, especially on really muggy days. It did help a bit with maintaining moisture and didn’t dry my hair out, which I appreciated.The texture of the product is lightweight and not sticky, so it layers well with other styling products. The spray itself is fine and even, and the product quality overall feels nice. However, it didn’t give my hair the level of smoothness or hold I was hoping for.For the price, I expected more. It’s not a bad product, just not as effective as I needed for serious humidity control. Might work better for someone with finer or less frizz-prone hair.

Update: I’ve now been using this stuff religiously for months. That includes 2 additional outdoor summer-month concerts and a beach vacation. This stuff still works like a dream. I’m a customer for life (or until they change the formula and it stops working)!Hey you. Yes, you. I see you there, eyeing this product on Amazon, but you’re hesitant to take a chance on it. That’s probably because, like me, you’ve been hurt before by products that promised to keep your hair sleek and frizz-free, only to look like a puffy poodle by the time you walk into the office. No leave-in treatment, cream, or humidity-fighting spray has worked for you yet, so why should you believe this one will?Truth be told, I have no idea how this spray works its magic - I just know it does. Spray it on damp hair and blow it dry, or spray it on dry hair and flat iron it, and - voila! - you’re good to go. The first weekend after I got this, I went to a 2-day outdoor music festival in July. My hair stayed frizz-free and looked as good at the end of the day as it did at the start. I’ve used it daily since then and it has never disappointed.Long story short, if you’re considering this product, get it. This has changed how I feel about doing my hair in the summer.
