Bought again
I bought this last year and had bad luck with them. I the spring I think I planted them a month too late, and by the time they were starting to grow pods to eat, it got too hot and the plants started to die. I was only able to get a handful to eat. They tasted pretty good. I don't think you really need to peel that stringy part because it's not that bad, but I peeled them anyways.I planted more in the fall, thinking I got the timing right, but due to bad luck (hurricane season) most died when they were about 5-6 inches tall. Heavy rainfall directly on them hurt them too much. I also don't think the trellis set up and the location of the plants were bad (my fault). I still have a couple of stalks that survived and are producing very little, but I don't have high hopes for them since a frost can come anytime now wipe them out.I bought some more for this early spring and hope I'll do better. Most if not all germinated and grew and so I'm happy with the pods. As for how well they grow, we'll see if I can do better this year.Compared to some other plants I was growing, these were more bug resistant. Scale bugs and leaf miners kept attacking my other plants but not these for some reason.

Every seed germinated and became productive vines.
The shipment is the sugar snap pea seeds arrived quickly. I did not count them but I am certain there were the amount of seeds as advertised. I have planted three times, and every seeds has germinated and became productive vines. I was so pleased that I went back and purchased another bag!

looking forward to a large crop as long as...
I pounded three posts in the ground, stretched some wire fencing across them for the peas to climb. I planted and watered and waited. The entire row sprouted and started growing. Then all of a sudden all I had was little bare stems. Apparently the birds love the little seedlings. I saved them (and my Romain) by covering them with netting. They are growing great now. Still small, but about to start climbing. I'm looking forward to a large crop.

Avid Gardener’s Approval!
Two days after planting these I had a few sprouts! And it looks like all but one have sprouted all together (but there have been some late bloomers so the last one might still come). I also counted and had over 300 seeds in the packet to start. This is why I trust Burpee!

High germination rate
These grew wonderfully. I planted in early February zone 7b. I've harvested so many times. They taste great! I've tried growing so many varieties and was always disappointed but these really grew so well! I had so many harvests I started freezing them into quart bags.

Pick early or plow under.
Good if picked early in growth ...not at all good if left too long.

All the peas
These peas are growing really well, even in my very poor soil. I’ve been eating them all summer. I like the bulk of seeds you get with this package too. So many peas!

Zero Stars should be an option
Super disappointed as only 2 out of 300 seeds germinated. And yes, I know what I am doing. I didn’t examine the package very carefully but when only 2 sprouts come up-something is wrong. After careful excavation of my buckets, I found a majority of the peas still looking like when I planted them 30 days ago. I am guessing this was an d batch because the package i planted earlier this season was fine.
