I read all the reviews before buying this item. I was pretty sure people were just being whiny for no reason. The blanket arrived yesterday. The package says its 100% cotton, is easy to care because it can be machine washed and dried, it exceptionally warm and comfortable and durable and high performance. It also said I should be washed before first use on the care tag. This is a direction I normally ignore, but because of the complaints about the lint, I thought I'd wash it and see how much it produced. The directions say to wash and dry it on gentle, which I did. It also said stop the dryer every so often to unball the blanket. I stopped the dryer every 10-15 minutes to help it dry evenly. I did this three times. It dried very nicely this way. It took one dryer cycle with the dryness sensor set to very dry. So no big deal, I'd expect such a heavy weight blanket to need such treatment to ensure the middle dryed. Sheet and blankets alway ball up in the dryer, that's just the nature of things. The blanket dried nice and evenly. Each time I stoped the dryer I did clear the lint screen each time. The first time there was a little. the second there was a lot and it was a good point to clear the screen. The third time there wasn't that much. The last time there was a little too. Overall, I didn't think it was awful. I could have just cleared it once midway and again at the end. That would have been enough. It was just clean white fluffy cotton that came out. I actually was happy to see how pure the fibers were. It wasn't that much lint for a new 100% cotton item of this size. A new set of towels would produce the same. It was a little fussy to dry it like this but worth it.Let's talk about the quality of the blanket. Overall, I wish it was white and not bone, which really looks cream colored. But I only plan to layer it between a sheet and my comforter and never see it. Is not the prettiest blanket. It does have a nice weave so it's a little more interesting then a microfiber or fleece blanket. It's not fluffyand silky like microfiber. Its soft and not scratchy or rough. It's feel like I'd expect a natural fiber to feel. It does have a very satisfying heavy weigh to it. I wanted weight and warmth without bulk. This filled that requirement. We put it on the bed, layered between the sheet and our comforter. It hanges over the sides just enough to cover you without hanging down to far when the bed is made. Itis long enough to be tucked in at the bottom and still cover over my shoulders. Overall it was so satisfying to sleep with this new layer. I was warm, but didn't sweat, because it's cotton. The weight felt great and made us very cozy. Overall, this was the solution I was looking for. I expect this will last along time with care. It's a well made blanket, I'm pretty sure I could be less careful and it would hold up to some abuse. we don't have pet so I can't tell you about those claims that pets snagged the fabric. For how we will use it, I doubt it will end up snagged on anything. Overall, it is easy to care for even if you have to unball it and clear the screen a time or too, warm, has a good weight and should last us along time. To me this performs as expect. Very happy I ignored the bad reviews and purchased this item. I'll be cozy and warm all winter long.

I purchased the King sized blanket in mushroom for my queen bed. The blanket arrived in original packaging. I tumbled it in the dryer for a bit before washing, there was some shedding, but nothing out of the ordinary for a new blanket. After the first wash the blanket feels fairly soft, is warm enough for Arizona, and is a lovely sort of antiqued aubergine color. The size fits my queen sheets perfectly, with enough overhang on all sides. I can see buying this again if I needed to.

I love the creamy vanilla color of this blanket, and has a nice pattern. It puts off a lot of lint in the dryer, I have to dry in 20-30 minute rounds and clean the lint trap between. It's not super soft, but it isn't rough either. Mid weight. Washed twice so far (agitator style top load machine) , one loose thread had to be cut, and may have slight shrinkage. Fits just to the bottom edge of a 12 inch queen mattress.

I am a HOT sleeper, but I need some kind of sheet or blanket on me to sleep. I LOVE this blanket!! It's heavier than I expected - it's definitely not tissue thin but it's cooler than my comforter and best of all it's breathable material. I have not been sweating at all at night, even with just an open window & fan blowing in Summer.Reviews are absolutely accurate on the immense amount of lint in the trap after drying, but I don't mind. It washed well and covers my queen size bed nicely.I would definitely recommend this blanket!

Attractive pattern, very likeable. Nice and soft, lightweight. Just warm enough. Didn't give five stars because it still sheds after wash and dry. It sheds little tufts of fuzz which stick to sheets and top quilt. I'm hoping after another wash/dry this goes away. It's hard to give full stars to a "dirty" blanket.

We have three of these. We use them as an extra blanket on top of our comforter on those really cold nights. The weight is perfect for that comfortable feeling. The don't fluff or wrinkle and they conform to the folds and curves of the bed and person. They only draw-back is that I have to bring them to the laundry to wash them... they get saturated with water and my top-load washer can't handle the weight when spinning. If we had a front-load washer, it would not be a problem.

I bought this blanket so we would have an extra on hand during the pandemic. Eddie Bauer has always offered good quality in the past but this is the worst blanket I have ever owned in my entire life. A $5 fleece from the Dollar Store would have been better. I washed it gently once and it shed everywhere. The shedding continued on my bed. Then the unraveling and holes started. Unfortunately, since I had this blanket stored in its original packaging and did not open until June, the return window had passed so I cannot get a refund. I usually do not feel the need to write negative reviews on this level but I have never seen a blanket do this before. The holes that formed mean that I am going to be using this for pet bedding or just throwing it away. It is soft and lightweight but just not durable.

So, there is nothing particularly special about this blanket. It's cotton, it's brown, and it's large. That being said, I LOVE it. It's super cozy. It's soft. It's warm. It's priced well for a big king size blanket. I washed and dried it on normal and it didn't shrink or deform. It has minimal stretch. I love it.One other review mentioned returning it because of the quantity of lint that it left in her dryer... It's a new blanket made with new material... yes, it's going to leave lint. It did fill my dryer trap, but it wasn't any worse than the new linen duvet cover I washed right before this one. Pretty much all new cotton products leave lint. This left a lot because it's a big blanket. I don't know why that warranted returning it. Oh well.
