This is one of the better rigs on the market for less than $100
First, this is an old style fixed pocket rig, you don't have modularity but you have lighter weight and simplicity. It is fairly versatile, the pistol mag pouches have adjustable flaps and the rifle mag pouches are voluminous. They can each carry two AK 30 round mags, 2 AR 30 round pmags, 3 USGI 30 round aluminum mags. It can fit two SR25 mags, but they fit very tight and sit a bit too deep for my liking. If I were carrying 7.62 NATO mags, FAL, G3, SR25, whatever, they'd be pmag SR25 25 rounders or if using any of the other 20 rounders, I used a mag pull, you'd need the height. It adjusts easily but you better tape everything down, which you should be doing anyway. If you don't tape the excess webbing, it will work loose. It doesn't have a map pouch, which are nice, but most users don't really need them. The nylon takes to painting well. The flaps or the mags pouches are made of a double layer of webbing and the bottoms are reinforced with webbing as well. Which is a great design, because in my experience the top and bottom corners of mag pouches wear out first.I own a Tactical Tailor AK chest rig and an LBT-260D and this is a little better than the Tactical Tailor rig because it can hold M16 and AK mags. Its not as nice as the LBT-260D, which has a map pocket and padded harness, but it does have the pistol mag pouches which the LBT doesn't have. The LBT padded harness also has large buckles that can interfere with getting a good shoulder pocket when firing. The Blackhawk harness is just wide thin webbing, which while not as comfortable as a padded harness, is still useable and never interferes with your shooting position. In summary this a good rig, well worth the $45, its combat quality, I've used and seen other use Blackhawk chest rigs and other gear in Iraq and it worked fine (except the Serpa holsters). This costs only slightly more than a Chicom chest rig and much better, its as good as a Tactical Tailor AK chest rig, and only slightly behind the much more costly LBT-260D. If you are looking for a chest rig for an AK and/or AR15, this is a great option.

Rugged and Durable
This was well worth the $40 I spent on it. If you're looking for a barebones design that is made for combat use, this is the choice. I've never seen a Blackhawk! product that wasn't built to be used in harsh conditions.

Great quality, but not perfect fit for AK mags
The rig is solid and well made. My only complaint is that when you put two AK mags in, the top strap only secures about an inch of Velcro. I am used to M4/AR mag pouches coming down to halfway or all the way on the Velcro straps. If I was taking this rig into combat, I would be more concerned.

Works well
This rig is great! Basic design, fits AK mags well, also has two pistol mag pouches and those fit well too. Cool little rig for the money and purpose.

It's an AK Chest Rig!
This chest rig is basic and and well worth the price for what it's designed to do, carry 8 AK mags. If you have an AK, then you need this rig, just because it is the best one you will find for the money. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

It's good enough for me.
The media could not be loaded. The materials feel very durable. The stitching seems solid. The comfort is an 8/10 for me. I'm 6'2" and 180lbs. It's a little bit right on the shoulder blades and back when you have 8 loaded mags. But, if you get in a gunfight, you're already uncomfortable. You wouldn't be thinking about your chest rig.The pistol pouches are too tall for a Glock 15 round 9mm magazine so it fits flush and is difficult to draw a mag quickly. A 17 round magazine would be easier to draw from this pouch because they would stick out of the pouch a bit more. The velcro on all the pouches isn't very sticky or positive. It grabs but not secure enough that I would trust the mags to stay in if I got flipped upside down. Each of the rifle mag pouches fit 3 AR15 mags no problem. Yes I said 3 not 2. I was surprised. However, the flaps are too long and if you velcro them down flush, the magazines ride up and down and do not stay secure. If you velcro the flaps down to where is "secure" it only graps about a half inch of velcro so it's really not securing the magazines.I like the rig. All I was looking for was something to carry 8 rifle mags, 2 pistol mags, and a med kit. This does not have a med pouch or a way to attach one. But, I'll take it and figure out another solution for the med pouch because this was only $32 shipped. Ibwas willing to pay up to $250 for a chest rig I but didn't really want to. This this should last me forever.

Works well.
Perfect for ak mags poly and steel. Fits them stacked up double per pouch no problem.
