Excellent product
Great product! I used these to replace the (remnants of the) OEM wide body plastic flares on a '97-04 Mitsubishi Montero Sport running 35x12.5 tires.Things to note:These flares attach to the OUTSIDE of the FENDER -- NOT -- the fender lip which makes them very useful if for some reason the fender lip has been removed or has rusted away. HOWEVER, it also makes these a little more difficult to install and may mean that they won't work if the fender has tight curves or bends. In English: These will fit great on a flat fendered old Chevy or Ford, but not so well on a curved Grand Cherokee fender.Definitely follow the instructions! Stick them in the sun for a couple hours before attempting to install. That will make your life much easier! Have a second set of hands to help. If the outer wires are needed, make sure they're installed BEFORE the flares are mounted, and AFTER the flares have warmed up in the sun. Do start from the top middle and work towards the ends.I'm not a big sheet metal screw fan which is what the flares came with. I purchased a couple (50 pack) bags of black large head pop rivets. (3/16" Large Head Tri-fold Aluminum Mandrel - Grip Range .040 - .354 inches) I picked these specifically because I was reusing the existing OEM flare holes and they're 1/4". They're also blind holes so there's no way to put a washer on the back. The large diameter head is perfect as the rubber of the flare is pretty thick and dense - no chance they're pull through.A large, very sharp knife is very handy for trimming! As well as a good, sharp pair of shears.Mitsu specific:They're not going to fit perfect so don't expect miracles. There is a bend at the front bottom of the rear wheel wells that the flares will not conform to. The rear of the rear wheel well curves under pretty drastically making it difficult to follow the body without distorting the outside of the flare. Overall, however, they come out looking reasonably decent.I run 9" wide reverse offset rims so I have a lot of tire outside the body. These flares are JUST wide enough to cover the tire at the top but as the body curves under taking the flares with it, some of the tire is exposed at the bottom outside the flares. This is much more of a problem in the rear than the front. Technically this means that they won't pass state inspection where there are vehicle laws regarding tire coverage and such.If its possible and practical I would recommend the lip mount style attached to the OEM wide body flares. It'll look cleaner, be more functional and easier to install. I still like these flares, though, and they're definitely something I'll buy again if I need them on another vehicle.

Cool!
Arrived as described, only the sheet metal screws where missing... like big deal, right? I've yet to install them on our LUV, but with holes already drilled into the fenders should make that a snap. They should easily cover the width of the SJ Jeep axle and 12.50's it has. These Flexy Flares sure beats the fake fiberglass YJ flares that were on it. Now to find a pair of 1 or 2 inchers for the rear.

Awsome flares!
These flares are Tough!...I put these on my suzuki samurai due to the fact that no one makes wider flares for the samurai anymore, you can buy jeep ones but I'm not about to put those on my suzuki . Install was easy and the flares look like theyCame that way from the factory. Another plus was they are well more than half the price if the dang jeep flares!.....

they say 58" long when we measued them they where only 53"
product was what it said if it was the correct length it would have worked for what we needed.

They're cool and very flexible
They're cool and very flexible. Also easy to cut into with an exato knife. However, the diagram clearly showed the inside flange to be 2 inches wide, the product itself was in reality barely 1.5 inches wide. Totally screwed me because if anything I needed 2.5 inches. The profile is too skinny and I may have to try something else, thanks a lot idiots. Just show the proper dimensions half-assers! Another thing, the sheet metal screws fell out of a big hole in the box and when I emailed the supplier he was a total douche!
