Great for personal dental hygiene. Three tools, although, I don't see the benefit of the mirror tool for self use? The picks work great for me.

Honestly... it's something I DID not know I needed! I have been scared of going to dentists my whole life (I've had rude dentists as a preteen). And so this makes me feel more ready to see a dentist! Sometimes I feel like floss doesn't do the job and this helps me get into every nook and cranny!

My housemate decided to use old my scraper to dig out a washer and ended up breaking it.Seems the current batch of dental tools are double ended to reduce production cost by about 10 cents or something bynot having to supply the second handle and now you can't hold the far end of the tool since it will poke you if you are not holding it just right. Besides, I rarely ever use the needle hook end for anything in the first place.Not to worry. I'll just cut it off.

I likely WOULDN'T have bought it, but for one of the video reviews that emphasized the scraper That made me want to buy it so my dental hygienist couldn't complain as much--and because I knew I needed to improve.I was so excited that I also bought a little bamboo holder with dividers here on Amazon.So far, I'm using the scraper and, grudgingly, the rubber massager more than once a week.

Avoiding pfas with this in stead of plastics in dental so floss.

I had a professional deep cleaning about five months ago. I started feeling tartar buildup behind just a few of my back bottom teeth. I am not due to have another cleaning for about two months and the feeling of the tartar just bugged me. Tartar is the bad, cement like substance where plaque is easier to keep at bay.I got this kit to just GENTLY scrape those few back bottom teeth. I was VERY careful.Within about ten minutes, it felt so much SMOOTHER. AGAIN, I just had a thorough teeth cleaning months ago, I wasn't trying to get rid of years of tartar.Bottomline: Don't expect this to take the place of a cleaning at the dentist. I look at this as a milder way to get rid of just a little plaque building up between six month visits to the dentist. Plaque is even a little easier to get rid of because it isn't as cement like. So use CAREFULLY and don't have the expectations you have of your dental hygienist. WORKED for what I needed it to.

I was only really looking for a dental mirror. But this set is very small. The mirror barely reaches to the back of my mouth. I would not buy this again.
