FreeTec Inner Tie Rod Removal Installation Tool 3/8 inch

I needed this to replace the inner tie rods on an '09 ford fiesta.The tie rods being replaced couldn't be removed using a tie rod spanner as they were perfectly circular.They took a while to fit, due to the limited space around the tie rod, but once they were tightened they didn't slip at all. More than enough grip to remove and re-torque the replacements.

Having read poor reviews for a similar looking competitor's tool, was sceptical that this would work. However the other 5 star reviews here convinced me to give this one a go and so glad that I did. Despite restricted access to the inner tie rod ball joint and apprehensive that I wouldn't be able to remove it, I found it extremely easy to use and saved an expensive visit to the local garage. Not only did it not slip whilst undoing the existing inner tie rod, I was able to torque up the replacement to specification without any damage to it. If you have an inner tie rod to replace, then this is the tool for you.

Was skeptical if this would actually work but I’ve used it to release a 100NM torqued tie rod and and it did, would be better in a 1/2 inch size.

Not gonna lie... I didn't think it would work, but it did. Anyone thinking of getting one I highly advise you buy one. It works and is super easy to use. Simple strong and does the job!!!

Great tool for undoing inner tierods especially on a mini r56. Seems good quality and done the job .

I needed a tool that would clamp over the tie-rod rather than slide over, as the ball joint at the hub end had locked solid and wouldn't be moved. The relatively low profile of this tool fitted in to the limited space available, it gripped without slipping and I was able to do the job without any drama.

After being fed up of using the swivel head inner rack tool due to the numerous times it has slipped off, and my knuckles finding a hard surface at mach 5 I bought this little gadget and my lord I should have bought this sooner.It's fantastic for absolutely every type of inner rack, yes it takes a little bit more time to setup and it can be fiddly at times, however it's all absolutely worth it knowing you can put more force behind your ratchet so the inner rack is tighter than a rusty barn door.Should have bought this tool sooner and I could have saved a few layers of skin!
