Can you get fine grit belts for the sander, say 400, to 800 grit?

400 is the highest grit belts I found on https://www.sparkyabrasives.com/

what are the dementions on the base of this machine i want to by a stand this would be helpful thanks

The base is approixmately 6 inches wide and 5 inches deep. The overall dimensions of the unit (with worklight extended) are about 19.75" x 15.25" x 11.75" (H x W x D)

Only for weekend warrior's under powered?

Uh, it is a 1/2hp motor... Same "powered" as any other 1/2hp motor? It has held up just fine for 8 years. It was $75 cheaper 8 years ago... The belt is a fairly narrow small belt and there is one grinding wheel, perhaps weekend warriors are the ones who want a combo machine in the first place? Certainly if you spend more for a 3/4 or 1 horsepower separate bench grinder and separate belt sander you can get better power and spend more money 😃
