Perfect for Ballet Dancers En Pointe!
These were recommended to us for my daughter who is now en pointe at her dance studio. They help to address warm spots and blisters she gets in class. The container is super easy to travel with, and there are a ton of the little pads in it. Not the cheapest item, but feels like a high-quality option to address the needs of a ballet dancer.

Must buy
Was recommended this by a sports trainer and this works like a charm. My daughter lost a toe nail and split open the front of her toe and we saw immediate results with in 24 hours that let her back to field.

BEST thing I've EVER found for burns, blisters, and boo-boos!
My nine-year-old son will tell you, these are PURE magic! Put one on, and the pain completely disappears. Seriously. I remembering trying one once on a burn, and being astounded when the pain went away. They disappeared from the pharmacy I used, but I dug them up here on Amazon and stocked up. The little squares in a jar are GREAT for smaller boo-boos, blisters, etc. and stay fresh longer than the bigger packs. The bigger packs are good for knees, elbows, and larger burns. I tell the kids, if they dry out and get sticky, you only need to run them under water to get them off. This is for after things heal or the next day, whichever comes first. LOL But seriously, they're only made of water, so using water to re-hydrate and remove is ideal and so easy. Painless. We use these on EVERYTHING. If I could give TEN stars, I would.

Works when all else fails
I'm a runner who blisters like crazy. I always get blisters over my forefoot at the base of my big toe. My blisters were my limiting factor when running. Within 2-3 miles I would get blisters. I tried a lot of different things - different shoes, lacing up tight with my heel flush against the back, different types of socks, running on tracks and treadmills. I get thick callouses but even these would blister. I tried a lot of different kinds of Band-Aids and tapes but nothing was protective enough to prevent the blisters. So I got these squares and I would put four or so on over my frequently blistered areas. You also have to apply a good amount of tape to keep them on but they definitely work. They didn't eliminate the blisters 100% but my blisters were much more mild and I could run farther. I also spoke with a friend who's a sports medicine doctor who said "If you blister like that it's your gait." I went online and looked up information and found tips about "paw back" when running. People like me tend to ice pick their toes when running, always landing on the forefoot in such a way that my foot slides repeatedly to the front of my shoe over and over. So now I lift my leg more slightly so when I land the force goes back slightly instead of forward and tada- no more blisters. Sadly I'm also less efficient when running so I'm slower and it takes more energy but it's worth it not to torture my poor feet so much. Hopefully with time I'll be back to my former level.

Soothing on scalded skin BUT...
I made a goober move last night and poured scalding water on both hands. I was worried that my entire dominant hand would blister so I ordered them late last night and they arrived by the time I woke up this morning (win!).The instructions say to remove the blue plastic film and apply that side to the skin. These do have a cooling effect and while my skin didn't blister, it still hurts, so this is a welcome feature. That said, it seems that some squares have a clear film on the other side of the square to keep the outer side smooth and non-sticky but it seems most do NOT, at least of the 10 I tried so they are sticky on both sides, which is inconvenient, especially because where I am wearing them is between fingers so they are touching each other constantly as I type. I wish all of them had a clear film on the opposite side to keep them from sticking together. I see others talking about needing sport tape or gauze and I find that to be true. Regardless, they are making my skin feel better so all in all a good purchase.

These little babies are amazing! I was given a few from my PT for hot spots on the inside of the ball of my foot that I was getting during long runs. The seemed to work, but I wasn't totally sold. Then I stepped in a giant puddle and soaked my right foot about 5 miles into a 15 miler, and ran with one wet sock - needless to say the hot spot went into a full-fledged blister, and I got a second one on my heel too! Ugh! These little Spenco 2nd Skin Gel Squares to the rescue! I also bought the Spenco 2nd Skin Blister Pads- which were peeling off after 2 hours and didn't do much anyway. So I tried these little miracles instead. The provide almost an instant soothing effect, and have a little 'padding' effect too. I left the plastic one one side, and then have used both cut pieces of Spenco 2nd Skin Adhesive Knit Sports and then just regular athletic tape over the square to keep it on. It's weird- they use a moist healing- so the area under gets white and wrinkly, like if you've been soaking in water too long. But I was able to wear shoes over them with no pain! (Unlike the "Blister Pads".) And these blisters have healed really well within a couple days, of being on my feet all day! I am adding these to my backpacking first-aid kit too, since they would be great to continue hiking if I get blisters.

Terrific
Absolutely love these. Heals cuts so fast! Need paper tape to stay stuck on your cut but otherwise they are great.
