Worth consideration - versatile and user friendly. No regrets
I'm not a fan of heights and I always maintain 3-4 points of contact when on a ladder. I also prefer A-frame ladders because they are secured by 4 points on the ground. I have avoided getting a ladder this size because I don’t want to have to use it, but I realized I need a versatile ladder that will let me do what I need to do without relying on someone else. This ladder fit the bill because I needed an indoor and outdoor ladder -both A frame and extension and I didn’t want a garage full of ladders. Now I have what I need and it functions as a 6’ A frame up to a 11’ and an extension ladder that ranges from 13’ to 26’. It also offers some unique features that give it added versatility. The little giant caught my attention a year ago at Costco. The only issue is that they only carry the smallest size which extends to 17’. I need a 28’ ladder, but don’t want to store anything that big so this ladder was the closest thing I could get and I’m glad I did. Now, please note that the little giant come in a lot of models –with lots of “cool” features. This is the classic model and priced the lowest. The other models offer some cool features, but you’ll need to decide if the price is right for you. I recommend doing some research to determine what model you want or need. My determination was that while I would love the bells and whistles, I don’t love them enough to pay for them. This does what I need it to do and I feel it’s well made and easy to handle (for such a huge ladder). If you’ve never used an extension ladder near the same height, then you may not have the same reference I have, but I found this easier to maneuver and extend than the 24’ ladder I borrowed from a neighbor before buying this ladder. As mentioned earlier, I knew I needed a 28’ ladder because my roof is 24 feet high and if I need to get on the roof, I should have at least 3 rungs above the roof line to get on and off a ladder comfortably. Well there’s nothing comfortable about getting on or off a ladder at that height. So I will avoid it and this ladder will get me up to the roof (so I can see up there) without getting on the roof. That’s good enough for me.When getting on the roof 24’ high (yes, I’ve done it), I prefer using two ladders – one up to a landing where I use roofing brackets to secure a second ladder up to the top. I feel safer this way. It’s not ideal, but it works and I prefer two short ladders over a long one. That being said, I am very pleased with this ladder. I don’t feel secure on ladders over 8 feet tall and I have used this and extension ladders to get up to the roof. This one feels at least as secure as the 24’ extension ladder and I only hesitate to say it’s safer because I don’t feel safe on ladders, but I did use this ladder to get up to the roof 4 times in 2 weeks and I’m willing to say that I like this ladder much more than that extension ladder or any other ladder I’ve used. Mainly because it’s so versatile and it’s not intimidating like a 24’ extension ladder that’s 12’ long and awkward to move when at it’s smallest.

Good ladder
The Little Giant Ladder dispenses uses a super-strong hinge at the top to form the shape of the ladder. In addition to the "A frame" shape, it can become a 90-degree angle shape (so that one side of the ladder is parallel to a wall, allowing you to get closer to that wall), a staircase ladder (one side higher or lower that the other side, so that it can rest on stairs, an extension ladder, and scaffolding (the single ladder pulls apart into two smaller A-frame ladders, or trestles, so that you can put a plank across the two ladders and form a scaffold). If you have limited storage or transporting space, the Little Giant Ladder fits the bill because it fits into a regular closet or even in the back of a car. The ladder fits into a manageable size. Also, if you are doing a whole house renovation, you'll need different types of ladders to do things like install gutters, paint crown molding, paint staircase walls and ceilings, install windows and things like that.It is easy to reconfigure into many different shapes and is a sturdy, solid piece of equipment. You can configure the Little Giant Ladder to conform to inclined surfaces. The downside of the ladder is it's really heavy. This ladder is heavy duty and well buiilt. This ladder is a bit pricey but my only complaint is that it is a bit heavy, but I guess thats the price you pay for a sturdy ladder which is normally in 300 to 400 dollar range.

Little Giant does a BIG Job! No problem reaching 18 foot ceilings!
This ladder is amazing! We repainted the entire inside of our house in one weekend. This ladder allowed us to reach up to the top of our 18 foot walls to paint/cut in, etc. The ladder felt solid, no worries about being up so high. We were also able to reach the top of the stair wall which is 16 feet tall. This ladder did not disappoint. It is not an every day ladder, but for tall jobs or awkward areas, I would highly recommend this ladder. I'm not a fan of heights and neither is my husband, but we both had no trouble painting with the ladder almost fully extended. Worth the money! Now for the con, not really a con, just an observation. It takes two people to adjust the ladder. The locking mechanisms are great, but to unlock them and at the same time adjust the height is almost impossible by yourself. Also, when fully extended, it's very top heavy so having two people to move it from wall to wall is really helpful. Overall, 5 stars here! So many uses...this spring my husband will be very busy outside! :-)

Good but hard to handle
Like others have said, the ladder is very heavy. I also got the Wall Standoff and with that on the ladder, moving it around the house was very difficult. Lost control of it a couple of times while moving it in the extended position. This has never happened before, even with my neighbor's 32-foot extension ladder. The ladder was also "springy" in the extension configuration even with it only extended to about 17'. Nice in the step configuration. A bit easier to move, but still heavy.

This ladder system is awesome! You can stably go up either side
This ladder system is awesome! You can stably go up either side.I also purchased the shelf can hold a person, and doubles to allow the ladder function as scaffolding. I haven't scaffolded to do any painting just yet, but I can verify the utility of having a heavy duty weight bearing shelf that expands my standing surface and holds tools well.I am a petite flower of a girl, but the wheels allow me to drag this around the hard freely since the ground bears most of the weight. Adjusting ladder height was also very easy, and since you customize the height to whatever is needed for the situation, the flexibility is unparalleled. (Just don't use an aluminum ladder where serious voltage might be a concern.)Great versatile product, well worth the money.
