Product has indicators of reliable 3rd party battery - purchased multiple / all working and test ok
EGOWAY is new to Amazon for 3rd party replacement batteries, having not used them before I was skeptical as these A1278 replacements come in varying levels of quality.I am however happy with performance and stats of the battery:Manufacturer ID is not generic - as with the very cheap batteries you can findManufacturer date is relatively recentTemperature is good under load at modest ambient temperatureBattery full charge capacity is slightly above design capacity and product listing specs are accurateWill update this post in the future if I have issues but at point of purchase can say this looks like a good option, and worth the few pounds more.and Good Work EGOWAY!! Very good battery for MacBook!
- PACKAGE - 10/10Item arrived in perfect condition into a big external package, the internal one was fill of packaging material around the battery, the screwdrivers were included;- SHIPPING - 9/10Cool, item ordered on 11/07 from Italy and it was delivered on 11/11;REVIEW:Pro:- after the battery of my MacBook Pro mid12 failed, I had to buy a new one so I chose to try the ones that Amazon offered. It fits perfectly and has a slightly more amount of mAh compared to the original one (6200 vs 6000). I tested the battery for 2 days and didn't happen anything weird even if the battery was made 1y ago, anyway I'll attach the specs that I got from my PC;Cons:- the battery is 1y old;Good but...- //Recommended? Yes

Good battery
Does what it's supposed to so far! Has revived a 13" 2009 macbook pro ready to be sold. The last battery had failed causing it to expand slightly which broke the clicker on the trackpad...! On testing it holds its charge well but I have only had it a few weeks and this macbook will eventually be sold so hopefully it'll be good for the next owner.

Poor battery perfomance
Battery size is slightly larger thicker than original once installed the trackpad does not function on LHS , removed battery fitted original to confirm and yes new Ego battery slightly thickerBattery life is also questionable after having charged fully discharged x3 I can get max2hrs. Which is no better than battery being replaced was expecting at least 4hrs minimumNot recommend get an original if you can

This product is an absolute rubbish, the life cycle is too short, i got it a few weeks now and it's already inflated and dropping charge vastly, do not buy.

Easy to fit 😀 almost 1% discharge per minute 👎 running only mail & google not happy. I think I will return it/ complain. ☹️

Ok so far but not looking good!
My original MacBook Pro battery would give about 2 hour max usage after around 600 charges so bought this to replace it. Easy to swap over and showed way more charge potential and initially would give approx 6 hours usage on a single, so all was good.However after only 5-6 charges it seems to be discharging faster already and after around 3 hours of usage (just running Word & Excel so nothing power hungry) it dropped to under 20% battery remaining. What’s worse is when it hits 10% the MacBook instantly shuts down so there’s 10% unusable charger!Will see how it goes but I suspect I’ll soon have to use the MacBook plugged in all the time again to use it, so wasted money buying this battery.
