Blue Personal SnapIT Ampuole Opener

I bought this because I was fed up about struggling to open my meds or the glass top smashing and then ending up in my fingers.This device solved my problems it opens the ampuole's easily and then stores the end which can be ejected directly into the sharps bin. I have had a few instances with problematic vials which won't snap by hand but this is able to snap them easily. I bought the metal version (personal) it was slightly more than the plastic (lite) version but it feels very sturdy and I cant see it breaking any time soon.occasionally it has snapped the vial but not left a clean edge or the lid (top of the vial) smashes but this has only happened probably 3x out of 100+ and, to be honest, some of my vials are porley manufactured so I would probably put it down to the vial rather than the device.

Works excellent for most of the ampules I encounter at work. I've only had issue with one type, pabrinex, which are prone to shattering in the first place. However, at least now when they do they do so inside this thing and not inside my fingers.

Having cut myself badly opening a glass ampoule , I bought this . I felt it was expensive, but I am so pleased with it .It takes the head off the ampoule really cleanly -no dangerous shards , Worth the moneys.

Nicely made and may be useful if you use very small ampoules. These are sold as opening 1-15 ml ampoules. It was too small to open my 5ml ampoule and there was absolutely no hope for the 10ml ampoule. I bought this for work but also to see if it might be useful for home dialysis patients. If you use very small ampoules this is very nice quality; unfortunately it won't work on ampoules of 5ml or more. I did return and buy the large version which worked very well for 10ml ampoules but not very well for 5ml... Will review that separately.

Love it! I’m a nurse on a Busy ward and have been using my little ampule opener for several month now. No more cuts and bloody fingers... Very good quality, will hopefully last for many many years to come - totally worth the money

Previously, I had difficulties opening glass ampoules cleanly. I have, on multiple occasions, experienced shattering of the glass with corresponding cuts to my hand. This tool, solidly made of aluminium (or another metal), lets me break open ampoules with confidence. The small number of ampoules I have opened so far using the tool have all broken cleanly.

Yup, it's expensive for what it is... but it makes life so much easier glad I have it, and convenience over cost all day here.
