Supposed to be cotton, so why can they not be washed in hot water and dried in the drier?

All of my kitchen towels were wedding gifts in this brand and I now see why! That was 16yrs ago. I can't find anything else like these made today! Yes they feel "scruffy" and if you want soft towels in your kitchen, you need to be shopping at Walmart. Trust me they have tons of them! If you want to wash, dry your dishes and hands (or face since I do that sometimes too 😉) then you need to look no further. That scruffy feeling is what helps these towels to scrub off dirt and yuck on the counters, dishes, hands, and everything else they can be used with.Some have said they have colors run. Did you not wash them BEFORE you used them in cold water? If you soak them in cold and add some salt it should help. This is why you don't wash a dye job in hot or warm water. Hair nor clothes. Colder the better.

These are a little thin. Don't reallylove them. I bought Calphalon at a Tuesday Morning; they were cheaper and much more absorbent.

I have never had such quality kitchen towels, had I known these were so spectacular I would have bought them a long time ago. The colors are beautiful, the quality is excellent, will buy more.

Best set I have gotten so far. I confess... not an expert on dish towels or pricing and a bachelor, but have not been happy with my towels and the ones I got recently are kind of thin and falling apart. These are seemingly well made and strong, and substantial, thick. Just a good quality and I guess at $8.64 not too bad of a deal for two...

Perfect hand towels. They don't get runs, they absorb well, and the fabric feels nice and substantial. Great buy. Will be buying more in the future.

Love the textured pattern and they are dark enough to hide any staining so hopefully will look good for a long while. Absorbent after washing/drying with no fabric softener or dryer sheets. There's a tag loop in the middle of the short end to hang it, but I just drape it over the dishwasher handle.

I like this towel. However, it came with darker areas like maybe it got mixed in with another dye and it rubbed off on it or possibly it was dirty. I had wanted it to match a decorative towel that’s only for looks so we had a towel we could use. I did get a refund on this item. I won’t try again for another one, may have the same issue

Very pleased with these dish towels. They are soft and super absorbent. They do t leave streaks or water residue on your dishes like some other towel due for this price. Extremely happy and will purchase more in the future. I highly recommend these to anyone. The colours are great too!

I am very picky with dish towels because there are so many out there that don't actually absorb. these towels are great quality they absorb great and I think I will have them for a very long time I'm definitely going to purchase more this is a must buy!

I absolutely love the quality, durability & size of the 2'T-fal' kitchen dish & hand towels that I purchased on amazon!! The dish towel I use to dry the dishes, is white with navy blue stripes. And, the hand towel is a solid navy blue. Both of them are made Very Well, and I HIGHLY recommend the both of them, to anyone looking for QUALITY KITCHEN TOWELS!!!Honestly, *(without any exaggeration), the 1st time I used the dish towel to dry my dishes, I was sold, right then and there. I couldn't believe, how quickly the dish towel absorbed the water, which made drying my dishes almost effortless!!!Let me say, to anyone reading this ... you will be very pleased with your purchase!!! I prefer terry towel dish towels for drying dishes. I use the dark ones as kitchen hand towels and the white ones as dishcloths. I love these and will buy more.
