Avoid!
I bought this phone as I'm a fisherman so I could take photos of my catch and send to friends without the worry of dropping it in the water. Unfortunately the picture quality is terrible, it is so so bad, it is unable to focus to any degree of clarity, also the Bluetooth and auto-rotate functions don't work. A case of style over substance and to add insult to injury the plastic/rubber covering over the charging socket snapped off, so, now its not waterproof? Do not believe the hype on their website, its a poor quality phone, a lovely design but terrible in performance!

Something to get hold of
Very pleased with my Getnord Lynx and its almost endless battery life. I have to say that I've encountered none of the things prompting the somewhat negative comments from others. I expanded the memory with a 64gb card, and have installed lots of apps with no problems. I can't comment on the speed, since the phone I upgraded from was a 10 year-old dumb phone, but the Lynx has so far done everything I've wanted. I've also connected the phone via Bluetooth to a keyboard and another phone. I like the chunky design - having something that sits in your hand comfortably is a definite plus, and the shaping of the lugs at each corner improves gripability even further. From the author of: Confronting Poseidon: Around the World Against the Odds

Rugged but not fast performance.
After using this for a few weeks and I can say its OK but nothing to get too excited about.Purchased it to replace my aging Blackview BV6000.After paying so much money I was initially disappointed to find its only 2gb RAM, 16gb storage & quad core processor and after my BV6000 I did notice its lag in performance by comparison. This I have got used to but by today's standards & its price I would have liked a little higher spec in that department.Battery wise it can't be faulted, it will last a good 2 days of average daily use. However it does take many hours to fully charge from a low state & the larger battery makes it a very bulky phone, the bulk isn't a problem unless you keep it in your pocket all day.Wireless charging is useful but finding a compatible charger is proving more of a problem.Maybe because it's a bigger phone, thicker frame? the chargers I have tried so far have difficulty with continuous charging & tend to get quite hot during the time they do work!I find it difficult to justify paying out the asking price of the manufacturers wireless charging kit.Durability seems to be good, I work outside & it has dealt with a lot of what a rugged phone should. It's nice to think it's got the thickest & strongest screenHowever:That doesn't stop it getting marked, I have acquired a couple of small marks on the screen through use & I am unable to source a screen protector for it?As a phone it works well. Call quality is good & speaker is extremely loud if needed.Would I but it again... Probably not!Overall its OK for what it is: a rugged phone but I feel there is better value for money rugged phones out there.UPDATE:I cracked the screen (or so I thought) by it falling off a table onto laminate flooring.Contacted customer support who assured me it was just the factory fitted glass screen protector that had cracked. The customer support is excellent, very promptly dealt with the issue. This means the marks I had acquired on the screen in my initial review have now gone π.After struggling with wireless chargers, I decided to invest in the Getnord Ram Mount charger which arrived within 2 days from Lithuania and must say its an excellent piece of kit, despite its price I would highly recommend it.Apart from the lower specs of the phone I'm now getting quite attached to it and would I buy it again? π€It would definitely be at the top of my list. Many thanks to the Getnord support team, its earnt an extra star in the review π

I want to like this phone, and I want to hate it
Yes, the processor is slow and there isn't much storage. I knew that when I bought it. If you want to watch 3 videos, play games, and Skype from a busy bar in the city then you probably aren't looking at this phone anyway. It's not an Β£800 "flagship" phone. If you don't have map pockets or cartridge pockets you probably aren't looking at this phone anyway - it's definitely not "flagship" thin! I carry it in jeans pockets but it it big for that. The processor and storage are perfectly fine though. I can check email, browse the web a bit, and I'm writing this review on the phone. If I have 10 tabs open in chrome and a massive OS map then, yes, it takes a few seconds to catch up when you switch between them.I didn't buy it to be a computer, I bought it to call and text and look stuff up but be rugged enough to be dropped in the mud under a landrover in the rain. However, I dropped it from my jeans pocket onto tarmac and the screen cracked! The screen still works fine. Is it still waterproof? I don't know. What I do know is that I now have the "world's toughest screen" with a star crack across it! Anyone with an engineering background knows that, despite what getnord's website says, having the thickest screen *doesn't* mean having the strongest screen. It's quite possible that it was a one in a million freak accident and I just caught the screen in exactly the wrong way. The crack doesn't look 1.8mm deep so maybe there is a replaceable upper layer? I don't know because getnord never replied to my email. I just know I tolerate the slow processor and slight dodgy speaker phone because it's unbreakable, but now it's broken. What am I going to do next? Good question... It's tempting to say "I'll never buy another one! Unbreakable phone broken after 6 months!" But it did survive a lot before that, I am still using it now, and Β£200 for 6 months is, technically, still cheaper than Β£800 on a 24 month contract...(and I broke my flagship phone 4 months into my contract, hence buying this!! :D)

Duff camera on great phone
My camera has been useless being permanently out of focus. Rest of phone is good. Battery life especially good. Phone is spoiled by the faulty camera.
