Absolutely amazing.
The people who rate this poorly because every single shot isn't a crazy stunt are people who really need to evaluate what makes these videos and their ilk so much of a blast to watch. Is Steve-O a crazy mofo? Of course he is, but is that the only reason he's so much fun to watch? Nah, there's a hundred websites out there filled with videos of idiots doing stunts, most of them screwing up and getting badly hurt (which is a lot more entertaining, in my mind). So why is it that we'd prefer to watch Steve-O instead of those random kids? It's simple, because we LIKE Steve-O. He's a hell of a character, and honestly so are most of the guys he hangs out with. This video is less of a showcase of stunts as it is a bit of a behind the scenes on what it's like to spend a few months with the man himself. So what makes Out on Bail superior to the rest? Well, for one, the first video (I won't mention the poorly done Tour video) was a collection of more than five years of footage, edited for the best bits. Moreover, it was all comprised of the camera being brought out whenever Steve felt like doing something crazy. It comes across as just a little collection of clips where he's purposefully performing.By contrast, Out on Bail is a video where the camera was following the crew around, so we get the feeling that what's going on isn't just played up for the camera, that these guys actually live like this. Not to mention that Steve-O and the whole crew are just plain hilarious. I think Ryan Dunn was a standout surprise star from the CKY series, Preston and Wee Man are amusing if not featured too much, Nick Dunlap is a perfect addition to the crew, Liddle and Corolla are mostly around it seems for the rest to play off of. The video plays less like "Hey, I'm gonna do something crazy, pull out the camera" and more of "You aren't gonna guess what I managed to snag on camera", and that's a big difference.Sure there are some stunts, including the early on scorpion annihilation. We also start to see that Steve-O is absolutely crazy in every sense. Not just that he'll jump off a building (though there is some of that, too), or that he'll staple his sac to his leg (that returns as well), but that just in life he's one of those guys that you need to put a reign on. Not a highlight reel, this is a biography of one of the craziest and most entertaining men in the country and the almost equally self-destructive crew that follows him around. The additional disc, PCP Saved My Life, may very well be the most haunting video segment I've ever seen. Steve-O himself admits to never seeing the footage and that he refuses to ever do so. It's five days of the man having smoked some (you guessed it) PCP. What follows is him going through a rollercoaster of emotions, and baring his soul in a way that I don't think any of us are ready for.Anyway, to wrap up this 2AM review, buy this video even if you've got a passing interest in CKY/Jackass/Steve-O. No, it's not chock full of crazy stunts, but it's hilarious, provocative, and will often times make you think "How the HELL are these guys still friends?", laughing all the way.10/10

Just plain bad...
This video was a waste of time and money. It's amazing how adults, including the guys in this DVD, can still be stuck in a pre-adolescent mind frame. Jackass and other skater/prank-stuntmen and shows all seem to have appeal in the lowest level of entertainment. Acting like an absolute moron for cheap thrills and attention is funny when you're a kid or early teenager but it can't be right for twenty or thirty something to make a career out of it. It is especially wrong when it threatens your life, health and dignity for money. This show influences kids much more to do stupid harmful things then what parents thought heavy metal or rap music used to do.These guys also give a bad name for skateboarding, as if it hasn't been affected enough by hip hop influence and brand clothing styles. The shows might have been slightly amusing when they first came because of the shock and awe but it's gets old fast. It's good that these shows are fading and aren't as popular as they were some years ago.

Shame on Steve-O
Avoid this DVD unless you're a HUGE Steve-O fan. Don't buy it if you are a huge Jackass fan, or if you are a huge crazy-wild-ha-ha stunt fan. Get the other Steve-O DVDs instead. They're shot better, the stunts are better, and the gross out stuff is more funny and less simply repulsive. This whole DVD is just one big stupid, poorly shot, badly lit, annoying non-event.It's watching remakes of the two hours of the same old tired sunts you've seen on the other Steve-O DVDs, and nothing near as close as the "quality" antics you found on Jackass The Movie or Jackass DVDs. There's alot of blood, alot of very un-funny scat and pee, some boobs and male nudity, and precious few funny stunts or amusing craziness. Watching Steve-O use a staple gun on his body or jump into a crowd was funny the first ten times - now on this 3rd DVD it's just one big yawn. This DVD is pretty much lacking in any amazing stunts. It's mostly gross out content - which is getting really old by now. I can only stand so much watching Steve-O bleed while he uses a staple gun or watch his buddies destroy stages / hotel rooms / whatever. Most of this DVD involves Steve O drinking amazing amounts of booze, going on stage interacting with rowdy, drunk crowds and... doing nothing special! The "ohmyGOD!" gross-out sickness you might expect isn't funny, it's just poorly shot and disgusting - fortunately the cast laughs in the right places to let you know when it should be funny and not just disturbing. It's just the same old junk you've already seen ten times from the Jackass crew, just twice as lame and performed by only the "B" list stars of the Jackass features.Special featurette is just more of the same, except even more crudely edited and REALLY vauge. They were hardly funny - just confusing, like hearing a joke I didn't understand.
