Wish I would have done this sooner! Perfect Doggie Door!
***note first: Buy it in the spring so you can leave the flaps open to train your dog. This is a great doggie door. I was scared to tackle the job of putting it in, but it was actually very easy. I love everything about this door. I have small dogs, but I got the 100 lb size just in case we ever got a bigger dog. Installation was easy, and the flaps work perfectly. It's cold right now and because of the magnets, the cold really isn't coming in. You have to train them how to go in and out, because they will have nothing to do with it. This is how I trained them: I taped both flaps up with duck tape. Used incentives to show them there was a hole they could come through. At first they wanted nothing to do with it. Just keep trying, and keep the flaps up. About a week later, I let the dogs out and closed the door. I noticed one used the doggie door to come back in. I left the flaps open for a month so they could get use to it. They actually started using it all the time. (for those of you who worry about bugs, I put a bug zapper on a stool right by the hole, inside) I finally put down one flap, and took the magnet off the bottom (it slides in and out). Again, you have to use incentives to let them know they can push it. Eventually they were going in and out with the one flap. We eventually put the other flap down (with the magnet). They were going in and out. We now have both magnets on both doors, and they use it beautifully. Love this door. If you were thinking about getting one, just do it!

Perfect dog door
The door was easily installed a larger door would not have worked because the wall studs could be a problem and electric outlets should be considered as well. My husband was able to install the door in a few hours. My dogs did not trust the door at first it took about a week using one side of the door and about a week later slowly lowering the second door. It is a must for pets. It cuts down on opening the door, flies with pets. I have four dogs and they are used to going in and out as they desire we no longer have to set a timer for two hours or wait until they gather by the larger doors. Our dogs are potty trained and have adapted to the new door well. It was perfect for time away from home no worries as to accidents while you are away from home, or a pet setter when you are away. The dogs can take care of themselves as long as they have food and water. I would recommend having the dogs che3cked on if you are going to be away for some time. I love the door. I would recommend the door as long as you have a person qualified to install it.

Great door, suggest some installation changes but no regrets
The doggie door is great. The double flap system insulates against temperature extremes. I just went through a heat wave in the south and I had no issues with heat around this door. Good for large dogs and medium alike. My beagles were using it before I even finished install. My boxer needed more time to emotionally process the door but now she uses it too. The biggest issue was the installation kit and instructions. The manufacturer clearly is trying to make this DIY friendly. They door is meant to be installed in the drywall in between the studs. If you are buying a doggie door for a large dog then you know how powerful they are. Mounting this to drywall is not going to last. I modified the instructions and installed the door against a stud to the right and added another stud to the right with a plywood shim so it sits right against the stud on the left. This really wasn't hard and with this change the door is solid. I did try mounting it to one stud and it was loose on the left. Just do yourself a favor and mount it to studs. I also used clear silicone on the outside around the top and sides to prevent water penetration but it was a personal preference. We get a lot of rain and I didn't want to chance it. The installation template is a piece of cardboard. Fair warning, cardboard is soft and it moves. I ended up cutting the outside hole slightly too low and I had to compensate on the inside. This left a slight hole at the top but I ended up just trimming it like a regular door anyway so no harm done. Just be careful when you are cutting.

Worked as a replacement to our old plastic framed PetSafe dog door
I can’t speak to the “never rust” portion since it’s new, but we bought this to replace our old PetSafe doggie door so we needed it to be the exact same size to fit within our brick exterior wall. The frame of the old door was made of plastic and the plastic frame holes where the screws sit broke, so we had to replace the entire frame. This new frame is metal and the holes in the new frame lined up on one side, but not the other side so we had to drill new holes because of this, but once the entire new doggie door frame and all was installed, it seems to be holding up well so far with our two large 85-pound dogs. It comes with a plastic dog door that slides into place to seal and lock your dogs in if need be. Our old PetSafe plastic-framed dog door lasted 7 years. Hopefully this one will last longer being made of a metal frame instead of plastic.

Size Medium works perfectly for my 16 lb Cavalier — great solution for multiple puppies
We are very pleased with this doggy door so far. We ordered the size Medium for reference. Our oldest Cavalier currently weighs 16 pounds, and the medium is a great fit for her with room to comfortably go in and out without squeezing. We had it installed below a kitchen window, and the installer finished in about two hours. It looks clean and well-fitted. In the photo, it has the closed door slat inserted. We have three puppies — a 1-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (16 lbs), a 6-month-old Pekingese (9 lbs), and a 2-month-old Cavalier. Our oldest Cavalier figured it out right away and can easily push through the flap. The younger two are more hesitant and won’t try unless the flap is propped open (but this is literally day one of installation). I fully expect they’ll learn with a little training and encouragement. I’d much rather put in the effort teaching them to use this than keep cleaning up accidents inside. For our household, this feels like a big step toward sanity and consistency with potty training. So far, we’re very happy with it and hopeful it will be a great long-term solution.

Great for the 5 cats I have to use the litter box in the garage
It worked out great for the cats to be able to go into the garage and to keep the litter boxes in the garage instead of the house. Had to take one side of the rubber mat off and hang up the other one because the cats did not like going through with that hanging down. I did have someone install it because I just couldn’t find the time to do it. He did install it in about an hour or so.

Perfect replacement for the older model - but read review for link to white screws
Just replaced 2 of these from the older models. I like these much better. The outer decorative trim is no longer a separate piece to screw in. And it's much nicer looking. But, there's one big flaw. It's the screw caps. They don't stay on to cover the screw heads. They're just a low quality plastic insert with cap that folds over. The folding over part broke off on some of them. And over half of them wouldn't stay on top of the cup it fits into. So, I removed all those white plastic things and replaced them with some good white head screws. I wasn't sure what lengths and thicknesses to get so, I ordered a kit. My situation didn't require real long screws as most of them went into studs. Here's what I used. Hope this helps someone. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBGKYY87?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Der Preis ist der Hammer
Fast 200 Euro für das Kunststoffteil, echter Wahnsinn, da Verdient einer richtig gut daran. Deshalb nur ein Stern. Bin mal gespant wie lange das Ding hält.

Great for a cavity wall.
This is a fantastic dog flap. I hunted everywhere to find one that went through a UK cavity wall. I did have to buy the extender, but it works really well, and I have had some steps built too, as there's quite a drop on the other side. My little dog has it cracked going through the two flaps and is so pleased to be able to go out whenever she wants.

Well designed and easy to fit
This is ar really well designed pet door and easily slides to accommodate different thicknesses of walls. Comes with a simple template that makes installation easy. The included slide in panel makes it easy to prevent your pets from using the door when necessary.
