I reviewed a lot of options and many negative comments before selecting this one. It works great for using on a recliner. The only thing I would improve would be a longer cored for the controller and have it plug from one of the sides instead of the middle. I use the plug on the bottom which places the controller on the floor rather than have the plug on my chest with a short cord for the controller. It works OK but could be more user friendly with a longer control cord. It is nice having three temperature settings and an auto shut off after three hours when I fall asleep in the chair. Overall I would recommend it.

Purchased this blanket for my Mom for Christmas. Meant to write a review after she told me she really liked it. Said it was really soft and heats up quickly.There is the wire going through and the controller at the bottom of it which gets in the way, but she just puts that on the side she is not sleeping on.All in all a pretty good blanket for the price. She said she loves it so that's all that matters.

Its soft, has the auto shut off but stays warm long enough for you to drift into a sweet slumber. I love it. My mom came to visit and wanted to take it home. My boyfriend stayed over, and now refuses to go home to his non heated blanket bed. I bought the twin size and use it ontop of my fitted sheet but under my flat sheet to sleep ontop of it. Must buy for the winter season. I rarely turn my heat up or on at all... Bought this blanket last month. Utility is usually 150-250 in the winter... Just got my bill it was $43! I am the queen of energy savings :)

My husband was ill the last few months and the heated throw (a different brand) he'd used for two or three years quit working. I needed to replace it quickly, so I ordered the Sunbeam, based mainly on the brand name. I'd had good luck with Sunbeam products in the past. This one is so poorly designed, it's almost worthless. The blanket was stiffer than the previous one, but it heated okay. The problem was the short cord on the control. Unless you sat with your legs drawn up under you, it would have been impossible to hold onto the control while the blanket was plugged in. We made do until my husband passed away. Then I boxed the blanket up, intending to return it, but I changed my mind. Instead I'm going to donate it to Good Will or a similar charity, along with a note explaining it works but is poorly designed. Maybe someone will buy it who can get some use out of it.

Pretty much what I expected. For the price it's a good product that does the job. My only problem with it is the auto 3 hour shut off. Wish the user could adjust that or have it be like 8 hours or something. Other than that it warms very quickly and is overall a good product.

This brand is very good the word they said 5 year warranty is for real I bought this for my wife and the other one I have for 4 years they just send me a replacement 6 days ago and this one that I bought for my wife has a 5 year warranty replacement with no charge

I gave this blanket 3 stars because it's a nice blanket, but not as nice as I expected. The pictures make it appear much thicker than it actually is. When you put it on, you mostly feel the wire on you rather than a warm fuzzy blanket. While the electric quality is pretty good now, I can see it running down in the future. Overall, I would recommend this product but not for the price of $45 I paid.

I like the blanket (obviously, or I wouldn't have purchased it) but I bought it for a mother's day gift and it came wrapped in what can only be described as kitchen saran wrap. Then, on top of the wrap is a sticker from Amazon stating that it is a new package. Seemed kind of tacky for a gift and I wouldn't have purchased this product had I known this ahead of time...
