FIREPOT Chilli non Carne with Rice - Healthy VEGAN Dehydrated Expedition Food (Regular)

I got this (and two other vegan firepot meals) to help me refuel during a triple marathon event where I ran a marathon a day for three days. I used hot water from a flask to rehydrate the meal as soon as I’d finished each marathon so that I could get some quick, good quality calories and protein rather than snacking on energy bars before my evening meal, and they definitely did the job. Very easy to digest, even straight after the races when sometimes it’s hard to get meals down, and really tasty too. I’ll be getting more for some ultras later in the year, as apparently they can also be rehydrated with cold water.

It's ok, but a bit to spicy for me.

Brought a selection of flavours for a festival we went to. Light weight and easy to prepare. Tasty and filling too.

Being dehydrated its light to carry but when you factor in the need and weight of water it becomes debatable whether its a better option than wet food. Wet food can also be eaten without heating if you were to run out of fuel for instance. Another consideration is the wait time after adding boiling water you need to insulate well otherwise it goes cold.Taste wise imho its behind wet food.

It was ok but for price you can get 5 rices dishes like Ben's Original One Pan Nasi Goreng Rice Meal. Wont buy again.

The portion size is fine. The flavour isn't spicy as expected. No preservatives is a bonus. I do recommend.

Super convenient for wild camping light weight small packaging makes them great for carrying in a rucksack however they're very under seasoned so kind of taste like spicy water unfortunately they are filling though I have a different flavor on the way so I'm curious to see if that's any better fingers crossed because I want to take these with me to Scotland
