Dog Boots for Snow with Rubber Sole Grip (Red, Large)

I love the design of these dog boots. They seem to be well made, good materials, flexible sole. Unfortunately the x-small boots I ordered are too large for my 8lb chihuahua. No measurements were listed when I purchased. The x-small I received measure approx 2 1/2" long x 2" wide at the sole. I hope they eventually make an xx-small size because compared to other designs these seem really easy to get the dog's foot into and tighten around the ankle.Manufacturer needs to list measurements for each size!!!

I feel like the product was well designed , but in general they did not fit my dog. Our dog is heavy for his size and has tiny feet so it seem like maybe a smaller size would have been better but we got the second to smallest set , and our dog is not a toy dog or anythings so I would have imagined that the smallest size would have been too small. But overall without getting to use the product the company allowed us to return them and I would recommend it for someone who would like to protect there pups feet from the elements.

These boots are nice in theory. But they slip on my dog's feet. They also are very. Very. Poorly made. One broke on the first use, and I ended up having to sew them myself to get them to work.The flap that's on the front, where it connects to the rubber part.. I don't understand the design, but my dog's claw slips out and the fabric goes between his toe. If it was more of a "boot" than a "wrap" it would work. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Had these for almost a month now, and as with all things, there are pros and cons. Overall they work well, and I am considering getting another pair.Pros: they protect paws and keep the mud off (I was more after blocking mud and dirt than snow). They fit pretty well, but I have noticed that there appears to be a left and right shoe - work best when the 'wrap' goes to the outside of the leg. The bottom is fairly solid rubber and works well - I'm now using a pair on the rear legs of my dog, because the pad on his paws started to wear from the pavement/sidewalks. Also, for me, they are fairly easy to fit on my dog - he waits for me to get them on before we go outside, and they stay on fairly well - I do have to make sure that his paws are all the way in (you can feel through the material to check) ... And I wonder if the problems that people are complaining about them coming off aren't as a result of not putting them on well ... And I have found that putting on the straps pretty firmly works best.Cons: the description says that they are water resistant, and that's completely opposite to my experience. These are made from wet-suit material, and they sop up water like a sponge - but I will take wet as compared to mud and dirt. The Velcro material is sub-par, and it won't be long before I have to replace it. Inside boot, there's some sort of white material, and that is wearing away ... It's rolling up and generally wearing ... But that isn't a major issue .. Just would be nice if it would wear better.So they fit my requirements, although a few changes would make them pretty perfect.

I purchased these little dog boots for our 15 year-old pug. The winters here in Cleveland can get pretty brutal and when the temperature hits -10F in the early morning hours getting her to go outside can be a challenge. She has very sensitive paws in general but throw in cold and snow to the mix and it's a recipe for disaster.Unfortunately, these boots were a complete fail for me. They stayed on our dog's paws for all of about 30 seconds before she started walking right out of them. I'm no expert in the dog footwear business but I'd imagine that one of the biggest requirements for success is creating a product that actually stays on the dog's paws.On the positive side, they do seem to be made pretty well and, as usual, Amazon made the return process very simple. I guess that's the reason for the extra star. Well, that and because hate is such a strong word. It's not like these dog boots made my life that much worse. I didn't wake in the middle of the night screaming because of nightmares filled with dog boots. My dog wasn't emotionally scarred after wearing them.

Size XXS was just a little bit too small for my 17 lb shitzhu mix. His feet measured 1.63"W and 2.25"L. XS would be perfect. These are super cute! They appear to be nice quality and fasten tightly. The rubber soles are super grippy.

As others here have stated, the sizing is kind of crazy. I ordered the XXS for my 5 lbs pomeranian and she was swimming in them!! :( It's a shame, too, because they are very cute, and I think they would have worked had they fit. She clomped around in them like an Andalusian doing a show and they did not come off. Unfortunately, again, they were just far too big for her. I returned them.

Finally boots that stay on !! A bit of work to put on a very hairy dog like ours, but so worth the effort. Before using these snow boots, our old boy was collapsing in pain from the ice and snow within a minute of going outside. Today he pranced around like a little puppy!! Thanks!
