How to use and see the WiFi light
After receiving the FileHub I was excited it’s what I needed for my design work.Then I became frustrated it appeared that the battery was bad the light would switch on then go off again no WiFi light to be seen.So I went on the Hunt for information in case I was doing something wrong the Manual is no good for troubleshooting.My search was to no avail, plenty of review videos but no simple troubleshooting or how to use videos.I even put in a return claim due to faulty unit.In a last ditch attempt I looked this morning and found a review which helped greatly Woohoo the unit isn’t broken just badly explained.So first download the RAV file app for your device via your App Store.Press the On switch then when light shows hold the On switch for 3 flashes of the Battery indicator give it a moment and the wireless light should glow.Now go to your WiFi settings on your Device and find the Rav 2g network.The code for the Device is 1 entered 8 times ( I would advise changing this once you’re set up)Return to the App now if you plug in your HDD or Sd card it will show up here.Hope this helps

Most useful gadget I have bought in a log time.
The is one of those products which you may only use a few times a year unless you travel regularly. But, that doesn’t matter the times which you use it you will be thankful that you have had it. The web interface on the device is better then and the Android and iOS apps but the apps are not at all bad. The power on and web interface is a little fiddly but once you get the hang of it you will wonder why you had a problem in the first place. The built in battery pack is good enough to charge and iPad Pro from flat and still function as a router. File transfer on the 2.4/5ghz is fast and reliable and makes the transfer of photos and files easy.

one touch backup
I bought the RP-WD009 as a way to back up photos for a planned trip to Ethiopia without computer access.I was looking at the RP-WD03 but the main draw back of the 03 is that there is no 1 touch back up and the phone screen need to be on all the time of the transfer. before buying the 03, I decided to look again for an affordable other solution and came by the RP-WD009 which has the one touch back up. tried it and it works grate, even without the phone connected, just insert the SD card and a USB drive, press the button and it works. only thing is that it has no clear display when the back up finishes. just need to stare at the SD light and verify it stopped blinking, it blinks intermittently when working. tested when happens if you take more pictures and back up again to the same USB drive - it creates a new back up folder each time you press the back up button. tried to copy files through the app, locked the phone while the transfer was in progress, and it did not stop the copy process, thats a big plus for the WP-WD009. the only other device that I could find doing this is the WD my passport wireless, which cost 4 times as the RP-WD009. for now, doing only testing at home for file transfer, this device seems grate.

It's a fantastic piece of kit
This gadget will work with 11" ipad pro, pc and android. It's AMAZING!!. I will now be able to back up my photos & video to a external HDD whilst on holiday.

Perfect
All I can say is, these things never quite work right. There’s always a problem setting it up and it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do.This however is an absolute dream, it just works straight out of the box. The app does exactly what it needs to do and the fact you don’t need to worry about running out of memory due to the use of sd cards/usb stick is a great idea. After one day I have an sd card full of films and tv shows and an iPad with lots of free space.It’s a perfect product for my needs.

Great little box of tricks
One of the best bits of tech I’ve bought in a long time. Plug a portable hard drive or SD card into this and it unlocks the possibilities of your iPad so you can edit and store pictures and videos without using up the memory on your device, plus it’s portability means you can take it anywhere.Furthermore, use it in your car, on the train or on holiday to allow the kids to stream to their tablets, it really is a versatile bit of kit. Use the 5G network setting and there’s zero lag when streaming too. It’s versatility extends to being a charger too for when your phone or tablet needs some juice!
