these worked great for my home stereo. good quality for the money. i would purchase again if i had to.

The speaker wire connects via the holes in the side. There is not a way to insert them through the bottom. The picture and description didn't make this clear. I didn't like the way that made everything fit to my speakers so I returned them.

These dual banana plugs work just fine. The previous reviewer seemed to misunderstand how they're supposed to operate- the jacks on the back of audio equipment are horizontal, and because these banana plugs are inserted into the jacks horizontally the wires are in fact inserted in the "bottom". They can also be inserted in the "top", because it's the same hole. It's true that these jacks extend out from the unit farther than simple bare wire connections do, but not by much. I find these wonderfully simple to use and especially handy for switching between different audio components- no need to disconnect and reconnect wires every time. This is a good idea for a product, and the ones that I own work just fine. I'd give them 5 stars but I don't know what 5 stars actually would signify. Maybe if they were free... :-)
