Overall very good experience with this product! Traction is night and day
Overall very good experience with this product! Traction is night and day compared to walking up and down the carpeted stair without the non-slip safety nosing. Absolutely no more slipping. We used to have one accident each week (clumsy kids and adults, sigh). Feels solid, NOT SOFT like carpet. The grip as described. In the future we will consider the other colors on their website (see photos). I understand that they have a softer traction call Comfort Grip but it is no where on Amazon. Make sure you have your power screw driver fully charged so you don't run out of charge when installing the screws. The screws are easy to install. We got a follow-up email from the company highlighting the portion of the instructions on installing the screws and that was very helpful. We are very happy with this product and the service is excellent.

A Solid Safety Solution for the Stairs
We have carpet on our stairs and everyone seems to miss the primary use of the hand rail and has fallen, visitors and residents alike. The worse was my husband who is the tallest and heaviest, managed to human snowboard down the stairs, bruising the whole side of his body.We immediately went to Amazon and found these items. They work great! We were able to drill the metal pieces to the stairs and place the sticky sandpaper material on top. The stairs actually feel much safer and they look surprisingly good. Highly recommended!

Relatively easy to install, increased safety from slips.
Ordered and installed these on the carpeted staircase, after several family members including myself, slipped and had dangerous falls. No doubt these safety treads prevent major slips, but the rubber sticker mechanism easily comes off the metal strips.

Easy to install, good grip
They were easy enough to install. Make sure not to just screw all the way in though, it takes some finesse. Once installed my wife said she feels much more sucked on our old spiral steps. Worth every penny for that alone. They make a little bouse when walking on them, but nothing unbearable

Safer Stairs!!
These were very easy to install. I installed these on 14 stairs in about 2 hrs with a break or two along the way. They make a HUGE difference in the way you feel while walking down the stairs. They give you stability and the reassurance that you have less of a chance of slipping. Even with bare feet they feel great.I will definitely by again and suggest everyone with iffy stairs to purchase these.

Garbage quality almost impossible to install correctly
I’m very disappointed in the product. We have some steep stairs that I had hoped to increase traction on as we have had a few slips. Just started installing these and have two complaints. First the metal base strips are thin aluminum which easily warps, bends, and screws can go right through them. If they were more robust you could follow the instructions turn the drill to its lowest torque and get these in fast. I followed the instructions to a “t” and had two screws push through the aluminum. Strip warped severely and if I were keeping these I’d have to replace it with a new one. Now cognizant of this I tried to get the screws as tight as I could without warping the metal. Maybe someone can do this. I can so about half are too loose and poking through the grip tape. This leads me to the second issue I found. Maybe our carpet is too high but the grip tape is hard to center on the metal, which leads to little slivers of bright aluminum. I get that these are not going to make the stairs look good, but this makes things look worse. Got 5 installed of the 13 I was planning on. They are bad enough that I’m going to rip them out and return everything as soon as I hit send. Regardless of price this product is not great, for over $10 a strip they are criminally bad.

No more monkeys slipping off the stairs!
Zero slipping accidents or near-misses by kids and grownups alike since I installed it a month ago. One of the best values for money. FYI I went for the AGGRESSIVE grit traction one.I read prior reviews about difficulty with installment but if you - as per the directions - put downward pressure on the metal plate while installing the screws, it really stays put nicely. I took care to double check for any popping screw heads in between the different steps.I had one strip less and contacted the seller who was super kind and shipped me an extra strip along with a tracking number right away. Two thumbs up, thankful for this lifesaver
