I bought this 3.5mm adapter so that I would have one for home and one for work. It does the job but sometimes when I try to plug it into my iPhone 6Plus through my Mophie Air case, it does not connect right away. I have to pull it out of the case and then insert it again with quite a bit of force to get sound. I was hoping it would be a good alternative to the 3.5mm adapter that came with my Mophie case but I will buy the Mophie brand next time.

This works very well to connect my iphone 5s in its case with a car cassette adapter. Very snug fit.

I ordered this a few months ago and set it aside because I didn't need it with my old iPhone case. I just started using it last week because I needed it for compatibility with my new iPhone case. After using it about 10 times it has shorted out. The wire connection to the male end of the jack appears to be a fancy crimp. And this is where the short seems to originate. I would like for something else.
