What material is the clamp made out of?

The clamp is made out of magnesium, read the description for confirmation of this. I have the Carbon Fiber version and absolutely love how strong and solid it is. I also bought an extra ultralite clamp for another tripod to put my spotting scope and rangefinder in. It makes your rangefinder so much more precise. I own a Primos trigger stick tripod and find it near impossible to hold on target at even 100 yds. I shot prairie dogs out to 547 yds with my deathgrip. Proof is in the performance. Bought two more of the Carbon ones for two of my hunting buddies and they sent me a text thanking me for talking them into the purchase because they love theirs too! The bad reviews must not be doing it right. My buddy said he didn't even take his rifle out of the clamp when moving shooting locations, while shooting prairie dogs, and it never moved. Clampdown legs feel like they are very well built. I feel there isn't a cheap component in the construction and super simple and fast to set up. Yes it weighs over 7 lbs, but that's what makes it a solid platform for accuracy.

Is the carbon fiber version worth the extra $100?

I do not own either yet, but I ask the same question and realized the $100 saves you only 1lbs weight wise. Aluminum is 8.5lbs and C-fiber is 7.5lbs. As far as materials go it maybe worth it as far as rigidity/flex.

Does it come with the rifle clamp

Yes, it ONLY comes with a clamping system. The clamping system is non detachable so you cannot replace it with an Arca Swiss ball head or something similar. The clamp is all you get.

Just, had time to put a tape on it. It's 30 inches from the top of the clamp to the little rubber leg peace on the bottom and 6 1/2 wide at the clamp head wich is the widest point

Absolute best tripod for the money.

Easily the best tripod I’ve used and it’s not close. I’ve used this on 10+ coyote / hog hunts, trudging through woods, swamps, creeks etc in the dead of night. Super quick setup, incredibly stable and keeps the gun locked into placed. I sling it over my shoulder with the gun locked in and the gun is just a secure when I’m done walking as when I started. Love the versatility as well, can change heights/position quickly when moving to different setups. Genuinely don’t think there’s another on the market that can compare.

Great tripod..took everything I put on it with ease.

I got this on sale for $110 and man it's nice. First one I've owned and I finally got to use it yesterday. Idk if I'd pay $200 for it, but if you catch it on sale grab it without hesitation.

Strongest Tripod I've ever seen.

This is a beast of a tripod for my AR. I mean the material is solid, the grip is extremely well done, and the angles for the leg options are down right just awesome. Can't feel anything loose once it's in there.The packaging was probably my only downer about this. The product was in great shape, but the box and outside was punctured and beaten in. Wasn't even in a discreet box. You have a picture of a rifle displayed and around here I was just happy to been around at home at the time of drop-off. Might have been a amazon deal, but didnt get an option to package it in another box.Great shipping, great product, grabbed it off a really nice low price deal.
