This was a great find and some wonderful history of the travels of Howard Hill. Loved adventures like this and the way it was written by the Mr. Hill.Nice collection for my small library regarding archery. A great find and fun to go back during those days. Special chapter, I found interesting, even though it's outdated now is the pages dedicated to the photography equipment Mr. Hill used. Many chapters here I stepped back in time and enjoyed. Howard Hill is a legend and a special bowman who made a positive statement with his skills long before the compound bow of today. This should be a must read for anyone interested in archery.

While Howard Hill is arguably the greatest bowhunter/archer of the 20th Century, this book has much more about his filming of animals in the wild. It is a nostalgic look back to a different time, and hunters that are also photo enthusiasts will enjoy the book, but don't expect a lot of bowhunting stories.

If you are expecting this book to be like H.H. first book, be ready for a huge disappointment. He spends most the book talking about how to film animals and make a hunting movie. It was a major disappointment. I was hoping for actual hunting and archery related information, but it was long commercial for his films. Boring with a capital “B”.

I'm a big fan of the late Howard Hill and his archery bowhunting exploits, but this book was more about his adventures with wildlife photography.

Here is a good solid read for anyone interested in bowhunting.

Howard Hill is a must read author if you are a serious hunter. His works are classics.
