Works great
Works great. Installed one without the adjustment on it and it failed in a matter of months. Hopefully this one will last.

Not all that good
I got two of these, the first one didn’t work, and the second one was over charging, the dial on the back doesn’t do anything and the plug is very loose.

Just get on at the parts store. They're better
Don't buy this just because its adjustable and has the pigtail. Both of those features are worthless. We had to ziptie the plug to the regulator because it wouldn't stay put. The little dial on the back to"fine tune" the voltage does nothing. Other than their 2 biggest selling points being moot, it regulates fine

Answer to ECM problems
Had problems where ECM would not allow alternator to charge. I purchased a new ECM and still had problems. Read articles about how to fix the problem with an external regulator and simple wire instructions. It was easy to install and it works like a charm. I now have a good charging system and this regulator allows for you to adjust voltage output. This has saved me so much time and money and would strongly recommend to anyone who is having problems with charging system controlled by ECM.

Exactly what I wanted and ordered
Because Chrysler decided to put the Voltage Regulator into the main computer on most of their vehicles. In order to get the charging system working again, when the voltage regulator fails, you have to replace the main ECU (aka: PCM) which is something like $650 for our model just for the part from an aftermarket supplier.(Of course this is assuming EVERYTHING else, Alternator, Battery, cables, etc. are in GREAT shape)So as a “work around” it’s pretty easy to wire-in an external voltage regulator which will work fine for now. This external voltage regular even has a way to adjust it so the alternator is putting out about 13.5 volts at idle.

Cheaper than a new PCB for Jeep
Voltage regulator went out on the Power Control Board (PCB) on 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ) so the alternator would not charge battery.I had to either replace the whole board, very expensive ($300) or install an external voltage regulator.I found this regulator on Amazon for less than $50 and decided to try it.I installed it to inner fender under battery tray, set it to what voltage I wanted and It resolved my issue.Perfect for what I needed.

Very pleased just had to research and wiring
The media could not be loaded. So at first I didn't know much about this and I hooked it up as directed in the instructions and it worked but voltage jumped around alot. To get this thing installed the right way with no voltage fluctuation you want to follow the instructions but make sure you run the switched 12v source to a relay and the main power straight from the alternator to the relay then to the voltage regulator that way it sees a true voltage without residents. Work's perfect!!
