Microscope Usage: 1. Insert the battery, turn on the LED power switch; 2. Rotate the focus knob in counterclockwise, elevate lens barrel, adjust the light brightness; 3. Take samples first, place it on the glass slide, can cover with another glass slide as a coverslip. Then place the one with sample on the stage and fix with clip. Move specimens to intermediate aperture, adjust the objective to the uppermost; 4. Turn the objective lens to 100x, 200x, 450x as your need; 5. Looking at the objective, adjust the height of the objective lens to adjustable height, do not touch coverslip, look at the eyepiece, increase the focal length a little until you can observe the detail. Note: Without anything on the objective tray, don't look down the eyepiece when the LED light is lighted. Easy to use
Got this for my niece (5 yeas old), she loved it and it was easy for her to use. She had no problem seeing through the lens, we put pretty much everything from the back yard under it (leaves, flowers, dirt, sticks, etc).

Good product but didn't fit our needs
This product was originally intended for use at a preschool. While it was durable and easy to use, it didn't really fit what we wanted in terms of magnification. For a younger child without any expectations as far as magnification this would be great.

Future scientist
This was a Christmas present for my 8 year old grandson, He absolutely loved it. He went out and recovered samples and placed the on the slides, made notes of each and even compared some.

Great birthday gift for a kid with a curious side!
I really love this microscope! This was a gift for my 5 year old step daughter and she loves it, too! I wanted something that was easy enough for her to use and for something that she would use for years to come. This microscope is good for a wide age range and a isn’t just a toy to play with but a learning aide! Perfect gift and so glad I chose this one to purchase!

You get what you paid for!
You definitely get what you pay for. It is cheaply made. Feels like it will be easily broken. It does work but if you want to be able to see great detail do not get this.

Made of plastic, amazing for the price, works very well was able to view leaves and plants with no issue w/ my kids for homeschool
