BEST ash blonde hair dye ever!
I have been dying my hair since a teen. I usually do a bleach and then once I tire of the bleach I look for a darkish ash blonde to try and return to my natural colour. I have tried countless different brands and have never been 100% satisfied with the outcome, they are either too dark, not dark enough, too green, too blue, I have even had dyes that go orange! This one popped up in a search so I decided to give it a go. It was real easy to apply, no drip and no mess. Development time was spot on although it didn't look like it had made much of a difference. I rinsed it clear and applied the reconstructive repair mask. The mask in itself is amazing. My hair had been pretty damaged by the bleach so was very much in need of some tlc. I didn't leave it very long but realise now I should have. Still it did a great job, after I blow dried my hair I was blown away by the colour... finally, true ash blonde!! It isn't too dark, not hints of green, blue or orange. If anything I would describe it as aa ash sandy colour. The condition of my hair is amazing, all bouncy with sealed cuticles. This is definitely me now go to brand. So chuffed!

Best I’ve found to keep a clean white colour
The 12.2 pearl blonde says don’t use on pre lightened hair, and only apply to the roots. This put me off trying it for a while, but the light ash was too dark/grey for me, so I gave it a go and it’s worked perfectly. I needed it to freshen up my colour and remove slight yellow, so I applied it all over but only for around 20-25 minutes. I’ve knocked off 1 star for the unhelpful instructions!

ATTENTION! DO NOT USE ON BLEACHED/LIGHTENED HAIR
THIS IS A SELLER REVIEW!There is no description/photos of reverse of box, and I read through the description of the product and it doesn't say anywhere that it should not be used on previously bleached/lightened hair!I always bleach my hair at home since the charge of a full head blonde is over £130 in the salon. Since the box bleach kits are not as powerful as the salon ones for safety reasons along with the toners on the market it is almost impossible to not turn out orange as a carrot or bright yellow, the only pair of product that ever helped me reach an actual blonde shade was following the bleaching process by applying the 10.21 Knight and Wilson product as a toner, but since I couldn't get hold of that anywhere on amazon or the stores this time for some reason I chose the 12.2 pearl blonde shade to rescue my bleached hair, but unfortunately only after receiving the product did I find out that it's not supposed to be used for this purpose.Again, I haven't tried the product itself after reading the back of the box so I'm not reviewing the result, but the poor/lack of description of the product.

Oops I did it again
I decided to go from box dye dark brown to blonde (I can hear you laughing from here) I am a natural blonde but have been dyeing my hair dark brown for many many years. So many that it was very porous and tended to go black around the ends and front. I had attempted to strip it and go back to my natural colour many many times but always dyed it back dark because nothing would cover the hideous carroty orange and straw yellow. By chance this appeared in my suggestions but I didn’t hold out much hope of it helping my hair but the price was reasonable so I thought why not? I’d tried just about everything else! So one colour remover and a bleach later, there was I in all my carrot coloured glory, clutching my Knight and Wilson lightest ash blonde and praying to the hair gods. Now let me just tell you that I had to do this twice over two days. I couldn’t risk bleaching it again so had to put all of my faith in this product. The first one did tone the hideous colour but it was still far too yellow for my liking so I frantically ordered another which arrived next day. Perhaps I didn’t leave the first product long enough as I only waited 30 minutes so the fault is mine and it was VERY orange. The second one I left for 50 minutes and I have to say it’s done much better. Much nicer colour, ashier from the mids to ends although the fringe and frame looks golden but I like it. My roots did go purple initially but they were much lighter and therefore got a little over toned. This isn’t the fault of the product!! I have seen a lot of peoples reviews blaming the product...it’s just over toned and left too long on too light areas. This has now washed out and is a nice ash colour. I dearly wish I had found this a long time ago..it would have saved me from many a hair disaster. Bravo Knight and Wilson...I love your product and will continue to use this.

Did not do the trick for me
So I stupidly thought I could bleach my hair by myself, silly me. My hair is naturally dull dark and I have been dying it red since I was 16, now 37, so my hair has been through many colours but was red before I bleached it. And you guessed it, it went orange. See before pic. So I used this hair dye, ash blonde 10.21 to try correct it and it did not really work for me. I used one and a half bottles, I left it on for an hour. I think the trick is, to let the hair dye develop to dark purple before you put it onto your hair. It was light purple when I started applying it but when on my hair, did not look purple at all. Upon checking youtube to a youtuber who used the exact product, hers was dark purple when applying and worked on her dark roots. My hair is sooo damaged with years of dying it and is very resilient and will need another go as it looks multiple colours of blond, orange, in different lights. Think I will try Ash Brown this time.
