Will this fit into a fractal meshify case, 1st edition

With some modding to the pcie support slots. This will fit on a meshifyc. I managed to fit an rog strix rtx 2080oc on it in the meshify c case. I had to cut two of the pcie support bars off the back of the case. You also can not fit the support screws on the top bracket mount so trust the sustained pressure of the mount will hold your gpu in place. So far seems to be stable and this fixed my heat pocket in the back corner of my case

Will a small asus dgx sound card still fit in the lower slot of my maximus ix apex?

Yes, if your case has 7 slots AND if the back/top of the sound card is flush with its slot bracket (there will only be about 1mm clearance between the top side of the card and the bottom of the GPU bracket).

Is this compatible with the new evolv x?

If your talking about the newest phantkeks evolve- x it already has a built in gpu mount in it. A lot of cases now is coming out with vertical gpu mount prebuilt. Good luck and it’s a nice case!

Do i need to remove the psu shroud in the pro m or need to make any modifications to the case's pci brackets to install this? is it easy to install?

No you do not need to remove the psu shroud. Yes you need to modified the pcie bracket so that you are able to plug into the Display Ports on the gpu. I managed to install it in 15 minutes with out taking the Pc apart using a pair of flush cutting wire cutters and wiggling them back and forth till the bar seperating the slots came off.
