Great book on TCM Foods
I loved reading the book. It's very exciting stuff. There's a lot to learn but the book makes it simple and easy to read. It's practical and I'll refer back to it until I have ingrained the principals.

Nothing sour about this book!
So many diets - some are trends, some are fads and some are just plain good eating. Tracy Huang's Food as Medicine is definitely in the GOOD EATING category. Having read Tracy's books on seasonal eating and having given it a solid 5-star rating I wanted to learn more about the Chinese approach to foods, what is good at what time and for whom. As with her other books, Tracy gives great information on the background of how Traditional Chinese Food eating evolved, the nutritional properties of the foods and how they interact with organs and integrate into our whole body system. It can get a little overwhelming at first but this is my third book by Tracy and the more I read, the more I understand the "rules." I knew some of then but not why.Fascinating book, but more importantly, this is book based on historical data, not a recent discovery nor a current trend. The traditional Chinese approach to healthy eating is perhaps the strongest preventative method to modern day diseases and the bonus is that the food is so delicious. Plenty of easy to make recipes at the end of the book along with how the ingredients benefit us.This book is a definite 5-star. I recommend it without reservation.

Eat better live better
This is a great book on reminding me how connected our health is to what we eat every day. I was already a big fan Orthomolecular Medicine before reading this. Many of us would see a lot less disease and need for medicine if we simply ate better and avoided certain types of food. This book is more proof of that. The things talked about in this book are things that need to be talked about more, so I just had to leave a good review. I truly hope people in the future will be more aware of how detrimental the modern American diet is to people’s health. This book even starts off with an intro of how the author transitioned from China and adjusted to the American diet, and then noticed breaks outs on his skin. The author goes into good detail on what food therapy is, Chinese food therapy, the benefits of it, and how you can start applying it to your life. I really appreciate the effort the author put into this book, and I hope he helps make more people aware of the problems we face today with our food. Would recommend.

Comprehensive overview of how diet is seen in TCM
Ketogenic diet, Paleo, Meditarranean diet, FODMAP and endless superfoods.... There are many diets trends in the US that comes and goes. It was an interesting read for me to learn this ancient dietary system rooted in wisdom of TCM. A lot of info, but not overly complicated. Practical enough. I wish recipes included pictures. I have no idea what some of the dishes would look like. That would have helped.

Thank you! to the author
As someone trying to regain health, I enjoyed this book immensely. I have come to very much appreciate TCM and this book takes it a step further in terms of describing how Chinese Food Therapy (CFT) is different from other diets. First off, she emphasises how there is no known generic nutritional advice because everybody's body is different and it is first important to understand one's own body. Furthermore, CFT recognizes that foods themselves have their own unique properties, benefits, etc. The author states that these unique benefits are different from nutritional values such as vitamins and such. Thirdly, the author explains that CFT believes the importance of staying in harmony with nature. This book, IMHO, has so much to offer and I recommend it to any one desiring an advanced method of healing and health.

Chinese Medicine and Dietary Therapy Explained!
The idea that the food we eat affects more than our weight isn’t anything new. Alternative medicine specialists have been telling us for years that you should be conscious of what you eat if you want to be healthy. Sadly, this idea hasn’t been fully explored in western medicine, so many of us suffer from obesity and other sicknesses. Many things like the fact that there isn’t a 1 size fits all diet are explored in this E-book. If you’re just getting into Chinese medicine check it out! This author also has a bunch of other books on the same subject, so if you like this one, take a look at the others!
