Some of the best earplugs I have ever tried!
Background:I have recently moved to a new apartment which is quite noisy, and I have been trying some brands of earplugs to get better sleep. The good:These are amazing at noise reduction, I can barely hear anything at all, which has improved my sleep so much. Besides, these are quite comfortable to me, not sticky or painful to wear, and they are soft enough to be a good fit for most people. Seriously, they work great. And they are quire budget friendly as well, with 50 per jar.The meh:Maybe the color if you plan to wear them outside. The bad:Nothing at all, they are pretty much perfect for me!

Foam earplugs are tried and true
I’ve always used typical styrofoam earplugs that you can get from any big box store or drugstore. The problem with those, however, is that they do work, but they can be uncomfortable and sometimes they take a while to get placed just right. Sometimes the foam is so stiff that it’s hard to compress enough to fit securely in your ear. Nevertheless, the sound dampening when these are placed correctly was worth the discomfort.I was tired of that. So i decided to try those wax earplug things. I didn’t like those since i found the noise dampening effect minimal, i was worried that the wax would get into my ear canal, and bits of the wax would get in my hair or even on my pillow. No thanks.Next up was the earbud style plug. I was excited about these since I’ve used them during the day to help filter out noise outside, and I’m a big fan of things that are reusable. The particular set that i bought came with a number of different sized earbuds, so you could find what worked for you. Nice concept, but the earbuds were not for me. I found them uncomfortable, so i always ended up taking them out in the middle of the night. The noise dampening was better than with the wax, but still not great. I was also concerned that the little earbuds i placed over the bigger part would get stuck in my ears and cost me a lot of money to remove. One day, i simply couldn’t find these in the morning after removing them—it’s as if they went to another dimension. I still haven’t found them weeks later (i do not have a messy bedroom at all!), so the universe was telling me to get something else.I did a search for foam earplugs since i was tired of experimenting. I needed something that worked since I’ll be visiting a friend soon and taking my white noise machine is not an option as they have a dog. That’s how i stumbled across Mack’s earplugs. I never heard of them before, but they seemed solid. They are more than just solid. They are fantastic. They completely blow the wax and earbud style plugs out of the water. They are superior to standard foam plugs. The noise reduction factor is 33 decibels, which is great, but these are also super comfortable. They are deceptively soft and lightweight. You roll them and they respond so well that you’ll think they can’t possibly do anything. THEY DO. They compress easily and glide into your ear canal. They expand quickly and dampen the sound beautifully. These are so comfortable to wear that i leave them in overnight. I’m a customer for life.

Amazing!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)Mack’s Ultra Soft Foam Earplugs are hands down some of the best earplugs I’ve used. As someone who’s a light sleeper and also travels frequently, I’ve tried a lot of different options—and these consistently come out on top.Comfort:The “ultra soft” label isn’t just marketing—these are incredibly comfortable, even for extended wear. They compress easily and expand slowly for a snug fit without creating pressure in the ear. I can sleep with them in all night with zero discomfort.Noise Reduction:With a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 33 decibels, they’re extremely effective at blocking out everything from snoring to loud neighbors to airplane engines. They don’t completely eliminate sound, but they significantly reduce it, which is exactly what I want—especially for sleep or focus.Fit:They’re slightly tapered, which makes them easy to insert and remove. They stay put well throughout the night and don’t fall out, unlike some other brands I’ve tried.Durability:While they’re technically disposable, I’ve found that a single pair can last a few nights if kept clean and dry. For hygiene and performance, though, I wouldn’t recommend using them too long.Value:You can get them in bulk for a very reasonable price, and the quality is consistently high across the pack. For the peace and quiet they bring, they’re worth every penny.Bottom Line:If you need reliable, comfortable, and effective earplugs—whether for sleep, travel, or work—Mack’s Ultra Soft are an excellent choice. Highly recommended.

Good for dealing with noisy neighbors!
I picked these up because I live in an area where housing is packed closely together and my party-loving neighbor's driveway is 10-15 feet from my bedroom with only a single wall inbetween. They're comfortable enough to sleep with and work really well to dampen the sound of talking and music. They've been a sanity saver for when my neighbor decides to have his buddies over until 3-4 AM drinking and partying on days I need to be up for work.My only complaint is that it can take a few tries to get them to fit properly. You have to squish them down and kind of roll them into a little cone to slide them in, and sometimes they spring back too quickly to actually fit in. This can cause a bit of a challenge when you're trying to put them in in the wee hours of the night after being woken up, but other than this, I haven't had any other issues.I would definitely recommend them for anyone who wants a comfortable ear plug to quiet down ambient voices and noise from neighbors.
