KeylessOption Just the Case Keyless Entry Remote Key Fob Shell Replacement For 15114374

Bought a 2009 HHR recently and the seller said the key fob had just quit working and it was the only one they had for the car. They had tried replacing the battery but it still didn't work. Really wasn't looking forward to getting a new one programmed. Found a forum post that said the contacts can go bad on the buttons and instructions on mugging contacts from a TV remote. I think these cases were harder to find aftermarket and cost a lot more when that post was written but it turns out that is exactly what was wrong. This case doesn't feel quite as solid as the original but I am happy that I have a working key fob because it should make it easier and cheaper to get a second working key fob.

The silicone pad to the remote wore out, and I thought it was just that the remote quit working. Someone told me I just probably needed to replace the pad. I shopped online for one, but you apparently can't get that alone. You have to buy the case, too. Well, I did, and put my circuit board in it, and this new pad, and my remote works again. So yay for that, but boo that they wear out and boo that you have to buy the case too. Otherwise, thankful that the remote is working again.

Product does not work with OEM Keyfob Circuit Board. Poor quality control on manufacturing. Too small for circuit board. Provider phone not connected for problem resolution. Not worth shipping cost to return. Will not purchase products from Keyless Option Store again.

Fit is snug did the job. Like brand new fob.
