AURORAE Yoga Multi Purpose Backpack, Model 2.0. Mat Sold Separately

This bag is better than I anticipated. I am very glad that I purchased it! Carrying the yoga mat vertically is much more comfortable for me than carrying it horizontally at my lower back; it doesn't bounce, and it actually doesn't even feel like I'm carrying a yoga mat at all. I am able to pack a yoga block, a yoga strap, and a mat towel on the inside with a little extra room to spare for a change of clothes (I might be able to fit a pair of shoes if I didn't wear a size 12). On days I am going to the gym and don't need my yoga mat, that space is perfect for my shoes to fit without a problem. I'm both cases, a decent sized water bottle (the original blender bottle, I think its 20 or 24 oz) fits just fine; I love the mesh pockets on either side for it. The front pocket and ultimately the other mesh pocket are where I put my phone and keys.I did try a different backpack-style carrying bag that carried my yoga mat horizontally, and personally, I did not like that as much. This bag offers all the room the other one did with the added bonus of vertical storage of the mat. No regrets eith this purchase, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking!!

I can't say enough about this bag! My husband got this for me as a Christmas gift as I was constantly schlepping at least 3 bags in and out of work each day and wished for something like this, not knowing it existed. I was using a typical long, over the shoulder yoga mat bag in addition to my laptop bag, purse, lunch box and sometimes portable breast pump (sorry guys) - I felt like a pack mule and it was wearing on my shoulders. This bag is absolutely perfect - it fits my lap top, at least one change of clothes, my yoga mat, water bottle, and umbrella - and the shoulder straps are very comfortable! I was nervous that my mat may hit me in the head while walking, but it's not even close and when getting in a crowded elevator it's not awkward. 'Not wanting to drag another bag to work' is no longer an excuse not to practice. I have also gotten so many compliments from my teammates on how useful and cool it is. And honestly you can't beat the price point, considering some other brands are charging more than twice as much for something not nearly as functional!I love this bag!!

Firstly I LOVE this backpack. I frequently take it to yoga class - especially if I have other things going on afterwards and I’m not able to go home to change clothes. My yoga mat feels secure, although I do wish there was more space at the bottom of the mat pocket. Has great storage pockets, but of course there could always be more details like key ring or clip or special pocket for smaller things. There is one hidden inside, but can sometimes be hard to get to if your bag is packed. Seams could definitely use extra reinforcement!!! My laptop, yoga mat, and toiletries often go in this backpack for traveling, but the weight caused the shoulder straps the rip away from the bag. Tried using the upper handle instead, and that started ripping too.

I'm super excited about finding this yoga bag - exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that could equally share the weight across both shoulders and had enough space for 2 blocks, a full-size towel, a strap, water bottle and even my yoga wheel, if I want to wear it goofy like pictured. It's saved me so much pain from a one-shoulder bag I've carried for years. With everything listed, you have to assemble your items in the bag in a certain order or it won't fit. A laptop also wouldnt fit with everything I carry, but a tablet probably would. I carry a Manduka Pro and have to roll it tight to fit in the elastic band. The only changes I would LOVE are adding a couple small loops for attaching a carbiner clip and maybe a buckle and large loop for securing a yoga wheel + a clip at the bottom of the mat storage area would be fantastic. All in all, I dont understand why bug yoga brands don't have something like this.

If you need to carry more than just your yoga mat, this is the best option! I love that I don't have to worry about carrying my mat horizontally at my side like other bags, as it's easier to maneuver around crowds at the gym and the studio. I also love that it allows my mat to breathe rather than being zipped up inside of something. I've had it about 6 months and it's held up very well. I wish the elastic strap was a little looser, but overall very satisfied.

The pluses are that it is very well made with sturdy material, nice looking, and spacious. I love the outside zipper pocket and side holders for water bottles. The negative is that my standard 24 inch wide yoga mat flops around and makes the pack unsteady especially when bending over. The strap securing the mat should have been placed higher. To solve this flopping problem, I purchased webbing and a buckle. I looped the web around the handle located on top of the pack, buckling it around the upper mat. Of note is that this backpack is not available on the Aurorae website. I guess it is made specially for Amazon.

I purchased this backpack to bike to yoga from work, but then covid hit and i stopped going to work and yoga. But this backpack has replaced a 30 L gregory pack and large fjallraven backpack because it holds so much more while being less bulky. I even flatten it and pack it in my suitcase when i fly. The open pocket holds a ton, but also flattens down. There are small zip pockets for small sundries. It’s great having all this extra space when I go places with my kids. I use the yoga mat slot for all sorts of things, from kites to jackets. The grey is nice looking, too. My only complaints are that the mesh side pockets are starting to rip, as many do. And it does not have a belt for hiking.
