A clear winner! Read helpful hints below
The Axcess Brand certainly has been doing their homework and updating the years of doing business. Example : there are still models being sold that have model numbers of 1801-15 to now the 1805-15Much improvement along the way. The REMOTE control is the key to a happy consumer. Sound not to your liking? Go to settings (when you press MENU) to fine tune your Bass far to the Right-100% , then Treble needs backed away to 15-20 %There are other things you can correct sound by pressing the Menu’s sound or music settings. Once This Is adjusted to your liking the sound is actually really good. Far above expectations. There is much good to this unit and it’s many choices and features a winner !As others have pointed out the TV/monitor is “top heavy”...prone to fall over and it wouldbe the end of it working. There are ways to resolve this :(1) Use a folding table used for eating meals..have thick packing tape or duct tape strapped to the stand . And when you need to free the TV up, simply cut the packing or duct tape. (2) Reinforce the stand by using a cutting board ; get a nice size cutting board and convert it. By either permanently drilling holes to secure it ..making the cutting board an affordable means to end the top heavy issue. Or again use the thick packing tape or duct tape to secure the stand to the cutting board. This will save your TV from accidental fall.Other features: depressing the top right INFO button will assist you by showing the signal strength of the antenna . Move the antenna until that signal has a solid blue indicator of being a good signal.Pressing the info button TWICE will give more information about the program you’re watching and shows signal strength.DVD handling - The DVD slides in with little nudging DO NOT FORCE the DVD disc into the unit . The gears can be damaged permanently. The mirror side of the disc should be facing toward you when inserting.Be in the habit to keep track if the disc is being left in the unit • leave the empty disc holder or envelope out (nearby) as a reminder that a disc is already in the unit! Another frequent failure to the DVD is accidentally trying to load a second disc and this destroys the in/eject mechanism. Most damages to the Tv/DVD are caused by the user ; repair can be costly or permanent. The features of the unit and remote control menu settings are excellent.Lastly, the issue of no antenna supplied with the unit ;Simply by using a large paper clip and flattening it out (have just a 1/4 inch bend at one end you can insert the bent end of the paper clip Which will act as an antenna until one is bought. Keep in mind that Only local (nearby) TV stations will work when scanning for channels (using the large paper clip then inserted into the antenna input) it will actually work. Enjoy!

Check your HD cables
Bought this as a gift for my mom in her kitchen. The HD cord we had did not fit as it was a tight angle to get the cord in. The back design of the tv picture online did not match the actual tv. HD input was on the back and pictures showed it on the side. May need to buy an angled HD cord to fit. Other than that its been working well and a nice addition.

Many good features, but not without problems
I purchased this TV because I wanted the HDMI connection, which my older TV/CD player did not have. On the whole, I am satisfied with it. It arrived with the stand already attached. What I like is the clear picture. I did not have any issues with viewing it on an angle side to side (it is in my kitchen). The set-up was easy. The menus and remote are easy to navigate. The DVD/CD player is easy to use, and I like the little menu on top so that you can see where you are on the disc. I had no issue with tipping because it is on my kitchen counter near the backsplash, but if it were in a different location I can see you might have to be more careful. I liked that you can adjust the screen and angle it up a little, which makes it easier to see while you are standing and working in the kitchen. Here are the problems I had: The HDMI connection is on the bottom and there wasn't enough room for the Roku stick to be inserted. It was easy to fix. I bought an "L" shaped extension connection and the problem was solved. My second problem was the cable connection. The thin wire at the end fit in, but the cap that secures it to the TV just wouldn't grip the threads and secure it. This was my fault. I didn't push the cap high enough. When I did, it gripped and held. The other problem was the sound. Initially It was tinny and awful! Adjusting the bass all the way up and the treble all the way down made it tolerable at best, especially at lower volumes. Then I discovered a 'pitch' adjustment which was under audio 'accessories'. I adjusted the pitch to 'weak' from 'medium' and it made a significant difference. The sound is now okay for a small TV. External speakers would be better, but I don't have the room on my counter for that. I am happy with this TV now, and I am going to keep it so that I can stream. I hope it lasts 10 years like my old one.

Good product.
Very good product. Worked immediately. Both 110v AC & 12v DC operated fine. Good manual. Good set up instructions. I am using this 15” TV for live display with a camera drone. Works good for customers to view what the drone is photographing in real time. Excellent value.

Nice little TV with a but...
The TV has a nice screen and decent sound for the room it's in (9'x10'). The problem is the connection between the TV and remote. It isn't the cable. The previous TV did fine. I call it a 'lag' from when you turn it on before the screen displays the image. There is also a lag between changing channels. Unless you punch in the channel number manually and hit 'ok', it has to load the image of the channel you're trying to change. I can't say I don't recommend this TV. It is just a little quark you have to deal with.I haven't tried the DVD player yet. I'll try to remember to come back and add a review for the DVD player.
