Ok, this thing works great, does exactly what it's supposed to, and so I'm giving it five stars. However, it's not all that useful, and I don't recommend you ultimately buy it unless you happen to often cut things that are about 1.5-2 feet long. Why the high review for something I don't recommend? Well, I can't fault this device or it's design, but the Bosch miter saw for which it's designed has such little play in the side-arm that you attach this to that it doesn't actually come in all that handy. As I mentioned, it's only useful for cuts that are between about 15 and 24 inches. You can do somewhat shorter cuts with this if you use another block of wood as a spacer, but that's a bit more prone to error, as it's easy to get the spacer to wiggle. So, while I can't fault this guy, the design of the saw is such that this guy isn't terribly useful.

It's a bit pricey for what it is, but mounts easy and does the job very well.

Works fine, but for a $550 miter saw (GCM12SD) this small part should be included.

Compre el producto por que al realizar la compra de mi producto ingleteadora Bosch me recomendaba la compra de este producto por lo cual lo agregué, al querer instalar no tenia forma de hacerlo ya que mi máquina no tenia los agujeros para su instalación? por lo cual no me es funcional, la calidad es excelente, lo guardare para ver si algún día me funciona con otro equipo.

It is simply appalling that a company like Bosch sell this as an after-market add-on. A length stop is a pretty essential thing to have with a mitre saw so surely this should be included within the original kit for which you pay several hundred pounds. The kit is a small piece of steel (the red bit in the image) that can be fixed to the saw ends via the provided 6mm bolt. My advice would be to make your own - it would cost pennies and not have to be imported from the US. The people at Bosch should be ashamed.

It works. The design is so simple. Almost too simple. I kinda wish they made something nicer. But it’s good. It does the thing. I installed mine on top of the crown molding thing. I bought both upgrade so i want both on. It’s working.

This is must-have tool. Design of this length stop is very simple, works fine and if you planing not to buy it is easy to make similar copy at home. Price is little high however it would be nice if included with mitre saw at least one.
