Egyptian Gods: The Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt (Ancient Egypt History Books)

Bought this book for myself. Very good book but was expecting more.

This books ok if you've never heard of the egyptian god's before, it covers some basics and a few deeper myths and lore tidbits. But if you know Egyptian mythology at all, this book won't teach you much.The comparisons to other pantheon god's is interesting though.

Another book printed by Amazon.Another disappointment.Will not be buying anything "printed by Amazon" again.Where to begin?Oversized text to bump up the page count.Content that looks to have been copied straight from Wikipedia.Back Cover telling me all about how the book will inform me about the "Norse Gods and Goddesses and Norse Mythology". Well, a) that is a different book altogether to the one I purchased, and b) it would need to be 20 times longer to even scratch the surface of Norse Mythology.Heck it doesn't even scratch the surface of Egyptian Gods and Goddesses.46 Pages of oversized text, to cover 19 Gods and Goddesses.The Egyptians had over 1400 Gods & Goddesses - which means this covers just 1% of the total number of gods and goddesses, and each entry covers, barely, 1% of what could be said about any of them.All in all not even worth half the price paid for it.

whilst the information inside was useful, the back cover did not relate. The back cover is Norse mythology instead of Egyptian. for the price of the book i was expecting something more substantial that what arrived - there was only 43 pages and it cost me £8.

I am really impressed by how much information this book comes with. Since in my childhood I am already very interested to know the different gods and goddesses. By reading this book, I felt like I was brought to the ancient times of Egypt. I really felt like I was beholding the gods and goddesses in front of me. It is concise, with short summary for each god and goddess but still with valuable information. I also love the hieroglyphics included in the book. If you want to know the gods and goddesses of ancient Egypt, then get this book!

For those readers interested in the ancient gods this book will be an interesting read. Actually the ancient Egyptian religion illustrates the beginnings of scientific thought thus this book will be very helpful to understand the basics. Neatly written

I have always been interested in the ancient worlds and the deities that ruled over them. I agree with the author in that the gods and goddesses brought enlightenment and culture.

This book will give you basic information about the main gods and goddesses of Egypt. It is good for a beginner or someone just wanting basic facts. That being said I got it for free using kindle unlimited and I am glad I did because it only took me about 10 minutes to read this book. While it is a good starter book it’s very basic and short.
