Convenient, Portable Outdoor Projection Screen
Here's a first impressions review of the Gemmy Airblown Projection Screen.I got the basic model, the trapezoidal 91" one, so my impressions will be based on that unit.In the Box>Everything comes in a one-foot-cube double-wall cardboard box. I recommend keeping this to store and transport the screen. The unit comes in several pieces.> The inflating frame is made from a light weight parachute-like nylon material. The blower motor is installed in the lower corner, and can be removed.> The projection screen is made from a heavier burlap/canvas like material. One side is white, the other is black. It installs into the frame via a fair number of clips, and can face either direction.> A small bag full of stakes and ropes that you secure to a pair of X-straps on the sides of the frame with metal clips.Setup>Setup is easy, and can be performed within 10 minutes.Three of those will be spent waiting for the thing to inflate.Just set it out, power it up, tie it down, and clip up the projection screen. Then adjust your projector and you're in business.Teardown is a little less elegant, but isn't too inconvenient.Just take down the screen, power down the blower, pick up the tie-downs, then roll the entire shebang into a heap of nylon around the blower motor, before dropping it all back into the box it came in.Then I fold the tie downs and drop them into a bag, fold the screen back up, and place it safely on top.Electrical>SOMEBODY's going to ask, so I'm going to provide. I used a Hopi 9800 "Kill-a-watt" style meter to make these measurements. The blower draws 120w when at full power while it's inflating the frame. This then falls to around 95w once the frame's fully inflated.Power factor is around 0.9, with no detectable inrush current. There is a 5A inline fuse in the power cord. If you've used any late model box or desk fan, you know the type I'm talking about. It holds a spare. It is audible, but not too much so. I'd place it at about the same as found in inflatable holiday decorations, and I know you've seen those once or twice.Any decent audio system that could give a group of people a satisfying movie experience will drown out that blower no problem. The blower is weatherized but not waterproof. The manual warns against direct exposure to water. I would power it down if it starts raining while you're using it.Picture>The heavy canvas projection screen gave a beautiful picture using my Epson Powerlite 826+ set to Eco power in twilight conditions from several points in the projector's working range. It had no problem filling the usable area of the screen.

Blowup movie screen , honest and accurate review
I wanted to update 6 years later and still in great shape . Was a great purchase for the moneyI just wanted to do an accurate review .For the money it's great . Easy to put up and the blowers are quiet and with a decent set of speakers or (1) powered pa speaker 400 watts that's what I use , you don't hear the blowers at all .The wrinkles most of them you don't even see when the movie Is playing and this was on a chilly day and only up about an hour before playing a movie. If you have used Christmas and Halloween blow ups it's the same quality , and with a little patience last a bunch of years as mine have. Now I do recommend getting a plastic storage tub instead of trying to put it back in that bag . This is so its easier on the blowup plus it's quicker to put it away and better for protected storage .My first time putting it up took about 20 minutes including staking it down . It took about 25 to take down letting it deflate on its own . I am not going to use the zippers to deflate it , no reason and it's just a good place for a leak to develop.I really don't have a single complaint about it for only $159.00 it's a lot of cheap fun and it's a great picture .I have a 2200 lumimun Mitsubishi projector , and using (1) 400 watt powered pa speaker ( eBay cheapie) , running through my lap top and it looks , works and sounds great.....And by the way I am very picky person so my review is honest and accurate and for the money I couldn't be more pleased . If something changes I'll let you know .... Get one and have some summer fun with a movie under the stars...

Love this product! Great buy!
This product is really nice. I am very impressed, so far, even though I've only used it once. We'll have to see how it holds up over time. Even though it comes with some instructions, it still seemed a bit daunting when I was taking everything out of the bag. I had watched some YouTube videos on how others set up and inflated theirs, prior to receiving it in the mail, so that gave me confidence going into setting up mine. It ended up being very simple. I did get frustrated for about 10-15 minutes, as I didn't notice that one of the two fans wasn't working. It had come unplugged and I didn't realize it so I could not get the screen to stay upright. As soon as I begin inspecting everything, I noticed the unplugged fan and re-attached the power cords. I ended up duct taping them together so that it wouldn't come unplugged again. The cord I am referring to is the one that is inside of the inflatable fabric, running across the inside bottom of the screen. As soon as I got it plugged back in, the screen was very easy to stand back up. I had also used the tie-down cords that come with the product to attach the screen to the ground, but I really don't think they were even necessary, since there was no wind that night. I read about others experience with the wrinkled screen and didn't even notice it once the movie began. Yes, I could see some wrinkles during the movie but they were not distracting at all. This is an outdoor inflatable movie screen so it's not going to be 100% perfect. Although, this screen does come very close. I highly recommend this screen to anyone who wants to enjoy outdoor movies. One last thing. I also saw a lot of comments on how difficult this was to replace inside the duffle bag that comes with it. I was able to get everything back in without an issue. I first folded up the white movie screen part, being sure to fold it up the same way it came folded. I placed that in the bad first on the bottom of the duffle bag. Next, I added both fans in and placed one on each side of the bag. After that I began stuffing the rest of the inflatable screen in the bag, much like stuffing a sleeping bag into it's bag. Don't worry about this getting wrinkled as it doesn't matter. One other thing that helped during this process was to unzip the zippers around the fans so air could escape. This was very easy for me. Hopefully, this helps others get theirs figured out.

Easy to operate and very little noise made this a ...
Save for the fact that its' USA Plugged and voltage (110W transformer required for UK use), this is the ideal addition to any outdoor party. Easy to operate and very little noise made this a perfect solution for bringing the experience of outdoor cinema to our garden. I did try to contact the manufacturer directly but, quite obvious their CS is directed to North American customers and a push back to US retailers........not the most useful where the Atlantic somewhat hinders a quick nip down the shops to ask a question...

Awesome item! Awesome value! Dont bother renting screen for 1-200 for a weekend when for 300 you can own it forever!
So far i have only used it twice but it has been a GREAT item. It comes in a large box which inside is a duffle bag (tightly packed) sized unit that is all self contained. You open up the bag take out the screen and unfold it (try to get creases out) then lay out the frame and clip the screen on before you turn it on. Plug it in and in 3 minutes you have a 12 foot screen in your backyard or wherever. I used it at the lake connected to my tablet to show a bunch of cartoons for all the kids after sunset and then some adult movies for the rest of us when they went to bed. Then i had a block party for the tragically hip concert and both times the screen was the star.
