XM Universal Windshield Suction Cup Mount

I hated the fact that XM and Sirius rip you off by providing either a good way to destroy a perfectly good dashboard or hook your radio up in such a way that if the radio doesn't get fried by the heater, than your vent falls off. This suction mount provides a perfect non-destructive, non-invasive way to have your sattelite radio without destroying your vehicle. It takes all of 10 minutes to set it up and is easy to adjust. Ok, it's not all cottoncandy clouds and pixy farts; from time to time the suction cup will lose hold and has to be moistened and reset, but that can be a 30 second inconvenience. You will still have to figure out the best way to hide all the wires as well, unless you were dumb enough to pay an ITT graduate at Best Buy $50 to do it for you. Other than that, this is completely worth the extra money.

I purchased this for a new vehicle to mount an older XM Delphi skyfi2 radio. It works pretty good, the suction cup holds well has only fallen off once in two months that I have owned it and that was probably due to extreme temperature change. I had to shave down the tab on the radio mount end a bit so that it would fit in the slot on the back of the radio. It was easily done with a utility knife. This Mount only has two axis of adjustment; the neck isn't flexible so some installations may be a bit awkward looking.

I was skeptical of this mount because it's sold by a third-party vendor and not Amazon. But it shipped very quickly and is the best way to mount an XM player. The one packaged with my Onyx radio would fall off the dash every day in hot weather, and I was afraid the vent mount would overheat the device in winter. So far, this one has held up and allows for a little more flexibility than something adhered to the dash (ie, if you want to move it around to give the passenger control).It's not fully adjustable, as another poster said it has 2 axis' of rotation, but I was able to adjust it to my front side window without a problem. It's high quality for the price.

I chose those rating due to my experience that it holds to the windshield tight and hasn't lost suction. Also lol it swivels which I didn't realize after figuring out how to and how I was going to attach it. I find it much handier than the vent holder. That thing kept causing my delphi xm to fall out. Lol thank god I found this accessory and I'm greatful for amazon . Woohoo!!! Thank You .

I purchased this mount as a replacement for one that had finally bitten the dust after five years. I liked the single tab that would work with my SkyFi2 radio and the fact that the arm wasn't ridiculously long.Unfortunately, after many attempts, the suction cup wouldn't stay on my Volkswagen windshield. I'm not sure if it's that the cup portion isn't deep enough or something else, but the mount (and the radio) would fall off after approximately 10 minutes. I tried all manner of cleaning the suction cup and the windshield, but to no avail. I've used plenty of other suction cup mounts, all with success, but this one just wouldn't work.Back to the drawing board!

Works great. this should be include with the XM purchase. Not everyone wants to drill holes in the dashboard of their car. Works greats in all weather, has not fallen off once.

I wanted something not permanent that I can use to put up my xm radio. The cents in my car are not in an ideal location for viewing the xm unit. This allows me to have it in the corner of windshield right in a good vantage point! High quality and cheaper than the items best buy sells
