MazamaQuikstream Hydration System Pump Kit

I really like this quick stream. I removed the standard bite valve that came with my hydration bladder and added this instead. It was perfect for letting multiple people drink from one bladder during my trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. My son, daughter, wife and I used it on a 12 mile hike to Sky Pond. It worked great to refill their bottles. It is also handy to squirt the top of your head to cool off. I’ve read some reviews with complaints about the small amount of water you get out of the squeeze bulb and the amount of time it takes the squeeze bulb to fill but for me these things weren’t an issue. The bulb refilled in 3-5 seconds and then dispenses a mouthful of water. You should be able to refill a 16oz water bottle in approximately 1 minute. Overall a great product. Would definitely recommend!

Won't let me return

I purchased this to use with my running vest/bladder as I wanted the ease squeeze for getting water while running versus the usual bite valve. First two runs were fine but since then, the bulb leaks. I place a cloth in the vest pocket where I place the bulb but wonder if any others have this problem with leaking. Enough leaks out over an hour that I have to stop and wring out the cloth to prevent the fluid from simply running down the front of my shirt.

I bought one in 2020, gave it away to my son and now I’m back to buy another one. If you hate trying to suck water while running it’s great. You can also wet you head with it for cooling. Overall very durable, and useful. Great design!

Actually surprisingly useful. But not exactly for the purpose statedPros:- best use for it is to have a quick rinse on the trail of your hands or anything else you would need to wash off. To this end, I attached a quick disconnect on it to where I can swap in in and out as necessary- a surpsing feature is that it has a back-flow check valve. On the QD hot-swap, no water leaks out- this makes it so you can pre-charge or hold-a-charge of water- holster is nice, but would change the clip feature to more of a belt-style designCons:- it sorta makes a 2 stream spray pattern. Not the most useful either for drinking or washing- not the most comfortable for drinking. Hence why I chose to hot-swap it with a conventional mouthpiece- 1 star off because this should have been designed entirely as a quick way to wash on the trail, as opposed to trying to double-duty for drinking. Such a redesign would feature the QD built into the main body itself. In addition, I would change the spray pattern

Prefer this to the usual mouthpiece, doesn't encourage wrinkles on upper lip. I might buy a slightly different type (same company) to be able to decant more as i walk.

Line is short !! When you squeeze you only get one good Squirt out of it and then after that it just stay stuck and they won’t squirt out again::: update stop working well
