Good product
Exact fit and no more leaks. Just be sure to follow exact installation with sealant at seam on engine block head, proper bolt tightening sequence and torque.

The fix for the problem that shouldn't have existed.
There was a time a few years ago that I didn't really think that much of Dorman automotive products. I saw them as a cheap budget alternative to superior OEM parts. And I don't think Dorman has really changed much...but the quality of OEM parts for a lot of manufacturers has fallen to such a great extent that Dorman now matches OEM quality and sometimes exceeds it.That's the case for this valve cover. As is the way with nearly every GM 1.4 L turbo, the intake manifold blew that little check valve and in turn blew out the valve cover's integrated PCV diaphram on my girlfriend's Buick Encore.Everywhere I looked online said Dorman replacements were the way to go for this problem- so I bought the Dorman intake manifold from another seller, and got the valve cover/pcv from here. Installed it all over the course of a couple hours and had zero problems with fit or installation. Its been over 10k miles since I did the fix and there are no signs of leaks or cracks or any other problems with these Dorman replacements. Everything's still working great.

Solution to a well-known problem for Chevy Cruze 1st Generation
First-generation Chevy Cruze vehicles (my daughter's is a 2014 1.4T) are notorious for these PCV membrane problems rupturing and causing a multitude of SES/CEL codes that are resolved by changing the camshaft valve cover and in some instances, also requires to replace the intake manifold. Dorman has marginally improved on these design flaws and have added a lifetime warranty on these two components. As their improvements do not necessarily address the design flaws, I decided to install their component since AC Delco's version only carries a 2-year warranty and if something were to go wrong with this Dorman's unit, I will invoke the lifetime warranty.Changing the defective camshaft cover was not necessarily difficult, but it was tedious work as there are multiple hoses and harnesses in the close proximity of this cover. As per Chilton's instructions, you also have to disconnect multiple electrical connectors and remove the ignition coil to properly remove this cover. In addition, you have to loosen 15 E10 Torx screws to finally pry it off. Don't forget that if this is the original cover you are replacing, it may be well stuck as not only the gasket may stick to the engine's surface, but also the RTV near the front (right-hand side, near the pulleys) also contributes to making it tough to remove the old cover. I used a nylon trim tool to prevent any scratches to the aluminum block and it came off after a few attempts.New unit was a perfect match. I used gray RTV as indicated and followed Chilton's torquing sequence (71 in-lb) to secure. I reset the ECM (removed 15-Amp #2 and #10 fuses for 10 minutes and then reinstalled) and restarted the vehicle. What a difference! For starters, the annoying whistling or chirping coming from PCV diaphragm was long gone but the vehicle was also idling much smoother and accelerating significantly better. As an additional bonus, all the SES/CEL error messages did not reappear. Please note: As indicated by Dorman, it is important to verify that the intake manifold's non-return valve is still in place. If not, it is STRONGLY recommended that you replace the intake manifold as well.It may be too early to count victory, but based on the immediate results, I am very pleased at how this Dorman replacement camshaft valve cover has properly addressed my daughter's 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.4T issues.

JUNK - terrible quality - BEWARE
Seemed like a good deal. One bolt apparently had a thread issue. Wrecked the engine head and had to be retapped. The mechanic checked and its thread was larger. Called the company they said we don’t sell on Amazon. Then said they do sell and it’s a 3rd party gave me a huge runaround! I asked for the cost to fix the head due to their terrible quality part and they emailed me a report that has to be filed and signed by the mechanic and sealed - they have a process just not meant for you to get the money. We bought a GM part for a bit more and pitched their defective part in the trash!I would advise you not to purchase from this company.
